DS was born a bit early yesterday after a v.fast labour which has left me a bit shell shocked. We knew we were a bit stuck for names but assumed inspiration would strike when he was born.....sadly not!

I really love Kit, but a) Dh is not convinced, and b) it's recent celebrity use puts me off.....

Names we like but maybe not enough include Edward, Jack, Luke, Eric, and Tom.

Been doing some 2am googled (so my judgement might be a bit off) and have seen Wolf, Heath, Ash, Robin (but dislike Rob as a nn).

Help. As you can see the names are all a bit random. He'll be Baby for a while at this rate :-(

He looks just like my nephew, who is called Arron. Lovely boy! Congratulations.

I've always liked the name Logan, as I don't like super common names or really out there names but I understand its a bit too "American" for some people's tastes

3luckystars · 03/02/2016 15:34

Sorry that should have said "he looks like my nephew when he was 10 minutes old" not now, he is almost as big as me now!!

Best of luck finding a name!

Love Kit - suits a baby, toddler, cool surfer dude teen and good looking adult (which your beautiful baby is destined to be Grin )

HRHsherlockssextoy · 03/02/2016 15:44

Benedict cumberbatch used the name Christopher for his son recently. I think it's a lovely classic name that you can shorten to kit. Both are lovely names.
Edward falls into that category too.
Your baby is beautiful.

frillyfairylights · 03/02/2016 16:17

I don't think he looks like a Wolf.

I like Kit Smile

SpecialStains · 03/02/2016 16:20

Biscuitsneeded · 03/02/2016 16:50

YY to Peter. Or another name that I think is due a revival - Nicholas. (On smaller boys I think Nicky is very sweet)

Lissie1201 · 03/02/2016 16:55

Don't like Kit, but it suits his little face (he's super cute!)

  • Edward - love it! Great NNs too :)
  • Jack - simple and nice, but loads about!
  • Luke - really like it! Lucas is nice too
  • Eric - quite dated, but actually suits him
  • Tom - I like it! I prefer Tommy, but not keen on Thomas... Confused
  • Wolf - no, please don't! Grin
  • Heath - again... No!
  • Ash - I really like this! Nice and simple, but Ashley is nice...?
  • Robin - really like this and suits him well!

Good luck and congratulations, enjoy him lots x

Lissie1201 · 03/02/2016 17:16

I think Nicholas, as suggested by a PP, is lovely and suits him really well :)

Evaisaiah · 03/02/2016 17:42

Gloria, Wayne and colleen Rooney just called their 3rd son Kit very recently, within the last fortnight.

I think its a lovely name.

Nodowntime · 03/02/2016 20:19

Now that I'm on the computer and have seen the picture properly I think Nicholas or Robin does suit him well :). Or Nicholas as first and Robin middle name :)

Hopefully you find something on here which would inspire you and DH.

p.s. In all the playgroups I go to every third boy is Ethan, also know loads of them under 5, so against recommending it, but maybe it's just our area.
