Found out I'm expecting 1 and a half weeks ago, we are all so excited! I already have 2 DDs, Lyra and Renn who absolutely insist the baby is called Elsa (wonder where THAT came from) On the realistic side of things, DH and I still had a shortlist from last DD Renn and and with a bit of editing we have another. Tell me what you think, how do they fit with Renn and Lyra?

Girls:
Gabriella- It seems a bit too girly but I do like it
Crescent- Hadn't heard of this one before, but I really like it!
Eleanor- Quite like it, still...
Winter- Pretty good!
Emily- Perhaps too common but with a lot of charm!
Erin- I really like this one- like really
... And Elsa? I won't admit it to DDs, but I do actually like this name although am hesitating to put it on the list cuz of Frozen... I like strong girl names, which have all different channels of interpretation in them.

Boys:
Bear- LOVE this one sooooo much
Torak- Equal with Bear
Hawk- Yesssss
Eric- This one is lovely!
Needs more adding to it tho... I like really natural inspired uncommon boys names (but not totally weird) with character!

XD going to stay up all night and wait, so excited!!!

Falcon, whether it's suggesting names for real or hypothetical babies matters not to most on here as it's just a fun diversion. But just be honest about it and not try to make it more complicated than it has to be. Wink

Heyho111 · 13/06/2015 08:44

Eric - sounds like you're a Simon C fan.

wigglylines · 13/06/2015 09:20

"Cerys- The image of celery for some reason."

Just wondering if you know it's pronounced Ker-iss not Ser-iss?

Falconwolf101 · 13/06/2015 15:33

Bell- Eden is a nice name but I have negative connotations towards it as Renn is upset with a girl who has that name at the moment.

Lola- I agree, Winter is lovely! Ezra is interesting- will discuss with DH later.

Coco- That's a little extreme. I talked to him and he says he has no idea. I believe him as I looked through the mentioned threads and everything seemed to be fine.

Busy- I was being completely honest, look at my answer to Coco. It's a perfectly real baby (ies) and am not trying to make this complicated in any way.

Wiggly- Yep, I'm aware of that still conjures the image of celery.

I like Emily, Eleanor and Gabriella of your girls' names

Of your boys', I think Eric is fab, but not so keen on the others.

Hey guys, lovely names, Mumsnet have contacted me over suspicions of trolling- and that is currently being sorted out. The scan on Saturady evening turned out not to be a gender scan, just to see that baby was fine.... Well babies since there are two of them!

Here are our choices-

Twin girls: Elsa and Winter or Elsa and Sorrel haven't quite decided yet
Twin boys: Torak and Otis
Twin girl and boy: Elsa and Torak

Still, if you can come up with more, I'll still consider, and who knows?

Thanks to everyone.

Elsa and Winter sounds like a frozen piss take.

MyPelvicFloorTrainsItself · 14/06/2015 18:03

Also, it is weird that you claim your name is Elsa and then Kelly and that your DDs are Lyra and Bonnie and your sister is Renn. I mean, why lie?

MyPelvic- Thanks for the un-useful comment kind of noticed, that's why we're still discussing. Also this issue is a misunderstanding which I have resolved with Mumsnet HQ and no longer wish to discuss.

2Boys- If you're irritated by my choice of names leave the thread, stop making fun of name combinations.

Nicky- Imaginary? It's extremely upsetting to hear something like this. And what on earth does momma's pants are on fire' mean? It's getting to the stage now where people are being unnesecerily rude and if you continue with these offensive statements I will not hesitate to report you. Kind regards.

Wow twins! You must be overwhelmed. Congratulations. When are they due?

I've just seen that as well as sometimes being called Elsa yourself you also have cats called Elsa and Anna and your DDs are totally Frozen obsessed and between then have every Frozen themed toy ever marketed. I think I would therefore avoid the name Elsa for one of the twins as people may confuse her with the cat and there is always the slight danger people will start to think you Frozen obsessed.

Falconwolf101 · 14/06/2015 22:07

Mapping- Yes! I know! They're due sometime around December. Heh, yes we have so many cats on our farm we don't really recognise their names much. DH and I however absolutely love the name, but will express firmly to DDs how one of new babies is not just to be seen as a piece of merchandise but as a person whose name has other meaning than frozen.

This is...interesting.

ipsofactocollapso · 15/06/2015 05:31

I like Winter very much. Erin and Eleanor are lovely but they are a bit too sound alike w your current DD names for me (freely admit that I am a person whose ears are confused by this type of thing while it may not strike others at all!)
I am no good with boys names but do like River and Brock.

Falconwolf101 · 15/06/2015 07:33

MyPelvic- Got a problem with it? Stop acting like an immature 13 year old boy, and see what MN HQ has to say about it.

Maryz- Another useless comment. Eat your Cheerios and try again.

Whisk- If you would care to elaborate a little?

Ipso- Thanks for the point- neither Erin or Eleanor are in shortlist! River and Brock are very nice, but I think we do have definite choices for new twins!

I'd be interested to know what MNHQ has to say. I have no problem discussing hypothetical names but I hate being lied to. It really pisses me off.
