Found out I'm expecting 1 and a half weeks ago, we are all so excited! I already have 2 DDs, Lyra and Renn who absolutely insist the baby is called Elsa (wonder where THAT came from) On the realistic side of things, DH and I still had a shortlist from last DD Renn and and with a bit of editing we have another. Tell me what you think, how do they fit with Renn and Lyra?

Girls:
Gabriella- It seems a bit too girly but I do like it
Crescent- Hadn't heard of this one before, but I really like it!
Eleanor- Quite like it, still...
Winter- Pretty good!
Emily- Perhaps too common but with a lot of charm!
Erin- I really like this one- like really
... And Elsa? I won't admit it to DDs, but I do actually like this name although am hesitating to put it on the list cuz of Frozen... I like strong girl names, which have all different channels of interpretation in them.

Boys:
Bear- LOVE this one sooooo much
Torak- Equal with Bear
Hawk- Yesssss
Eric- This one is lovely!
Needs more adding to it tho... I like really natural inspired uncommon boys names (but not totally weird) with character!

XD going to stay up all night and wait, so excited!!!

Just to add, Crescentia is an old Victorian name if you still wanted to use something similar

Love Tallin

Yes I wondered that too, Wiggly

Surely Tallinn should have a double N at the end - like the (beautiful!) city?

It's a really nice sounding name actually!

Tallin is fab!

Ellliman- Karot! XD gave me and DS a good laugh! Anyone who looks that deeply into names deserves to be forced to listen to the frozen soundtrack for 5 hours! But seriously, thanks for the suggestions- Tallin is nice+new

Lord of the rings. Sorry am typing on iPhone with a cracked screen :(

I like Elinor or Elanor as a nod to Lind of the rings? I also like Eric. Torak is a nice sound but I feel it sounds like a name backwards iykwim. Oddly it is karot backwards. How about Tallin?

Hey Mapping- Heh, it seems I can never mop up the confusion! The misunderstanding was that I have several other online accounts (eg. Netmums) and I use nicknames for these as people our family knows are on there and we don't necessarily want them knowing who we are. I was going to do this for Mumsnet and initially did so but then made the sigh dumb decision to switch thinking no one really looked through threads... This obviously turned out to be wrong. I do know what scans pick up, but I guess with last two DDs I just lost track of the times of various scans (guess it's just my inability to keep track of anything!). As for the kitties, our farm cats live in the house with us for the first few months, and they're all fluffy and cute during that time. Then they grow up and become our prized mousers but are only seen around from time to time. Doesn't mean we don't recognise them just they're not like ordinary house cats who when people come over pick out who they are. In my post to Wanker, I explained that changing the user name might add even more confusion- I've tried to resolve the issues that have come up over dual ids so I hope this shows I was really being honest, just made some pretty stupid decisions as regards various online accounts.

Falcon, people aren't trying to be mean but people appreciate being told things straight and you have never explained how a "misunderstanding" led you to state different names for yourself and your DDs over several threads. MNHQ won't be able to do anything: one username gives conflicting facts about their life, what can MNHQ possibly say about that?

When you add to the mix the fact that despite being a third time mum you seemed unaware of what early scans pick up, you can maybe see why people feel uneasy.

And the cat thing. In one post they are "our lovely new kittens" who your DDs received as a special Christmas gift and who they named after their favourite ever characters. Now they are wild farm cats whose names barely register.

Change your user name. It's easy and you can keep the same account and email. Then you can put all this behind you and benefit from all MN has to offer. Just remember people appreciate honesty.

?? Ok but that would probly cause more confusion, throwing a 3rd name into the mix. If you don't believe me...ugh let's not talk about this anymore eh?

or rather I don't remain and I don't care about being convinced.

You can change your name without changing your email etc.

I remain to be convinced about anything else.

Wanker- Perhaps I should, but I couldn't use the same e-mail and I feel I've established some kind of thing here, with pregnancy calendars and all. To be fair, yes it was a misrepresentation but one which was a confusion rather than a deliberate troll. You again go back to what your mum said, I don't have a particularly good memory, and tbo I'm really not a very good liar. I have really considered other people's opinions, but calling my twins 'imaginary' and suggesting deliberately stupid name combos did not connect to this and hurt me.

If I was you, I think i'd change my name, start over again and be honest with people and you may get a different reaction. People who have posted here are also disappointed that they feel they have been hoodwinked by someone who is misrepresenting themselves.

I am sure people do it all the time but as my mum said when I was a small child, you need to have a really good memory and a quick mind if you want to be a liar.

This site is full of twats and some pretty horrid people as well as some lovely people, people think they can say anything since they are hiding behind a screen. I've always tried to not say something on a forum that I would be unhappy to say to someone in real life. That works for me.

I can understand that you would be upset but I think you also need to look at from others perspective.

Wanker- Exactly, we've talked over the issues with people being rude on this thread, and this is being addressed- so ask them what you like. It's actually sad that you think this- I was always friendly and open to all suggestions , until people looked at other threads I've answered and singled out mistakes in them. I really wanted this to be a cheerful thread, but it appears that there are always those out to make other people miserable, despite the other person's feelings. What was a thread about names for two baby twins is now just a mass of troll hunters- it's only one of the only two threads I've ever put up and I feel disappointed and upset.

Falcon, you yourself basically invited us to see what MNHQ has to say about it so I've said that I am interested to know.

I apologise if you have mental issues and this is adding to your mental stress. Nothing you've said here comes across as genuine or honest, I may be completely wrong in that but that is the impression you are giving out imo.

Having said all that, you aren't really doing anyone any harm but I've stated that I dislike dishonesty so i'm leaving this thread now. If you are so fed up of it, maybe you should report your post and have it removed rather than being insulting to people and implying that they are behaving immaturely.

Hope whatever it is works out for you.

I'd be interested to know what MNHQ has to say. I have no problem discussing hypothetical names but I hate being lied to. It really pisses me off.

MyPelvic- Got a problem with it? Stop acting like an immature 13 year old boy, and see what MN HQ has to say about it.

Maryz- Another useless comment. Eat your Cheerios and try again.

Whisk- If you would care to elaborate a little?

Ipso- Thanks for the point- neither Erin or Eleanor are in shortlist! River and Brock are very nice, but I think we do have definite choices for new twins!

I like Winter very much. Erin and Eleanor are lovely but they are a bit too sound alike w your current DD names for me (freely admit that I am a person whose ears are confused by this type of thing while it may not strike others at all!)
I am no good with boys names but do like River and Brock.

Mapping- Yes! I know! They're due sometime around December. Heh, yes we have so many cats on our farm we don't really recognise their names much. DH and I however absolutely love the name, but will express firmly to DDs how one of new babies is not just to be seen as a piece of merchandise but as a person whose name has other meaning than frozen.
