Wanted: girls name. Must be fabulous.

Why am I pregnant again ffs? Stupid Catholic upbringing. My body will an unsalvageable wreck and we will be living in penury for the next two decades.

Anyway. Need a girls name. I am utterly devoid of inspiration, being interested only in grab bags of Skips and having naps.

Already have an Agnes and an Enid. Surname Stephens.

Dislike: frilliness; 'ah' endings; 'classic' names.

Like: fabulous names. I was keen on Ramona the last go-round, but think I might have lost my love for it.

Any suggestions?

Isn't 'Merle' the name for a wall eyed lurcher? The kind with black and grey fur?

MitziKinsky · 25/05/2015 21:45

reuset, do you actually have anything to add to the thread?

I know a Merle, suits her.

MitziKinsky · 25/05/2015 21:48

Anyway....the OP has a list! Despite being weird and not very bright, I'm sure she's going to be able to at least decide on a name for her baby. Wink

(I say Maureen for a middle name)

We just keep on churning 'em out, and you don't need to be bright to do that.

Lovely. Well, you said it of yourself. Wink I'm not going to argue with that, given your posts so far.

MothershipG · 25/05/2015 21:54

Am I too late to throw Vanda in? I know it ends in 'a' but it starts with 'V' Wink

MaureenMacnally · 25/05/2015 21:55

Roxybaby12 - your DD's name is beautiful, just not for me. Thanks for the good luck - I'll need it!

Have you got last-word-itis reuset?

MaureenMacnally · 25/05/2015 21:57

Angela - I like. Not keen on 'Ange' though.

Vanda - Actually really fab. I'm digging these 'V' names!

I fucking love Bunty, as a name, and spent most of today telling dh we should have named dd this (he essentially ignored me). She loves Chicken Run, so it would have worked well.
Anyway, haven't RTFT, so maybe Bunty has already been pissed upon, from a great height. But I think it's great.

Ah maybe so, outself Grin

It's like OCD thread, in a way (some of you may remember). In that anywhere else other than Baby Names the OP would be flamed for coming out with outmoded, inaccurate, sexist stereotypical nonsense like that and trying to make a weird sort of joke of it. Offensive to us Catholics too (I'm French Catholic with Irish heritage also).

Fanny. Not trying to be funny either Wink
