Confessions - names you love but will never use

Just as title really. I have a theory that everyone has a baby name that they love but will never/ have never got to use. Mine is Silas, always adored it but DH (and almost everyone else in rl) hates it. My mum's is Toby, she's tried to get us to use it but we haven't obliged. Would anyone else care to share?

Fazakerley. It's an area near where I live. Could never ever use it, but ooooo I really want to. Love the sound. For a girl. Grin

Loveday, it's a Cornish name. DH said a firm "no".

Silas is my one, too OP. Love it but really doesn't work with our surname Sad (plus wouldn't have been able to convince DH). I also love Casper, Topaz, Tabitha and Topaz

brimfullofasha · 16/01/2015 20:05

Holden for a boy
Asha for a girl

BellMcEnd · 16/01/2015 20:07

Bug Isis is (was) another of mine but for the same reason as Silas doesn't work with our surname. It also doesn't suit boys Wink. Very sad that is has such negative connotations now as it's a beautiful name

BellMcEnd · 16/01/2015 20:08

Oh! And Juno. Really love that.

I'll be quiet now Grin

Clover
Acacia (Casey).

Instead we went with good solid names and I don't regret it!!

TellmetogetonwithmyWork · 16/01/2015 20:18

Clover is lovely, it has 'love' in the middle

Theas18 · 16/01/2015 20:21

Florence. Would have been ace for dd1 before it became fashionable. Sadly rhymes with out surname hence we have Florence and Geraldine the gerbils.

moodyblues · 16/01/2015 20:24

Emmanuel and Posy.

CountingThePennies · 16/01/2015 20:27

Saskia

TheScottishPlay · 16/01/2015 20:29

Blythe and Harriet as have a DS.
Also like Lucius and Marcus (too much Latin at school) but DH wasn't so enamoured.

Besta · 16/01/2015 20:30

Venetia and Hamish.

Not having any more children (and V doesn't really go with my surname).

ilikepie · 16/01/2015 20:30

Claud and Maud. Not both though. That would be too much.

ilovemargaretatwood8931 · 16/01/2015 20:31

Some lovely names here! My dh was keen on calling our dc MUNGO...

thankfully she was a girl! I think he was rather hurt at the incredulous bales of laughter that would ensue whenever I told anyone (midwife, relatives etc)!

CoffeeBeanie · 16/01/2015 20:32

Stella
Louisa
Lexi
Matilda
India

all vetoed by DH. I really regret not having used Louisa.

I love Cassian for a boy.

Would be ripe for lots of teasing come Christmas time 'In the bleak Midwinter, frosty wind made moan'..........
