Just how crazy would it be? My DH is not buying it, but I think it's such a sweet sweet name for our little girl. We are lucky to have a classic last name which almost anything goes with. Advice please? I know it's a little bit out there but I love it .....

It's pretty crazy. Not to my taste at all.

MollyBdenum · 19/10/2014 08:14

I think it's a sweet name for a little girl, but a bit harder to carry off for an adult woman.

PureMorning · 19/10/2014 08:14

Sounds like a stripper

BingoBonkers · 19/10/2014 08:14

Don't. Do. It.

Only1scoop · 19/10/2014 08:15

Sounds like a made up porn name

Bumpngrind85 · 19/10/2014 08:16

Wow... Did not expect that. Way to crush my bubble Hmm

I think it's cute, but best to give a more common middle name as well, just in case she wants another option.

ShadowStar · 19/10/2014 08:16

No. Cute on a baby. Terrible on an adult.

moxon · 19/10/2014 08:18

Hahaha. Bumpngrind. Bambi. And I'm Thumper.

EdithWeston · 19/10/2014 08:21

It would be cute as a nn, when still in the child-bubble world of Disney. But not good beyond that. Perhaps Barbara on BC?

And can you really face being the butt of 'Bambi's mother' smartass comments for the rest of your life?

Bumpngrind85 · 19/10/2014 08:21

Lol... Moxon. I'm having real problems picking a name! I don't like anything else. Fyi my porn name would be tallulah hill if the first pet/ mums name is anytjing to go by!

Bambi was a boy in the film. Just saying.

moxon · 19/10/2014 08:24

I'm having real problems picking a name!
We'll make it super easy then, and offer you a simple choice to go with your classic surname: Sarah or Libby. Done. Smile

noitsachicken · 19/10/2014 08:25

Just about to say the same, Bambi was a boy.

moxon · 19/10/2014 08:26

(Oh and Tallulah Hill sounds like a good earner.)

Mrsgrumble · 19/10/2014 08:27

I don't like it at all.

What about Elise, Zara, Poppy

Sirzy · 19/10/2014 08:27

Would you like to be called bambi? Can you imagine a 40 year old bambi?

noitsachicken · 19/10/2014 08:28

Wasn't there a thread about this before?

Sunna · 19/10/2014 08:29

It is a porn star name

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bambi_Woods

Please don't inflict it on your child.

Bumpngrind85 · 19/10/2014 08:35

It's a bit mental but If there was another post out there that means I'm not the only one that likes the name Smile I have literally gone through so many names and nothing jumps out at me. My hubby wants Orla but I'm not 100% keen. I know bambi was a boy in the film but let's be honest, that's not the biggest issue here!

noitsachicken · 19/10/2014 08:39

I can't do the link, but search for it. That poster wanted Bambi-May!

Was universally told no!

AWombWithoutAFoof · 19/10/2014 08:42

That's a simple choice then, porn star name or an anagram of oral. Grin

I'm hoping your classic surname is actually Bumpngrind, then your choices are Bambi Bumpngrind or Oral Bumpngrind. Grin

You have to consider OP that your DD might be a complete tomboy, or grow up to be a solicitor or teacher. When you name a child it has to work throughout their whole life and fit their personality as much as possible however they turn out to be.

Bumpngrind85 · 19/10/2014 08:45

Awombwithoutafoof what do you think got us into this mess?!
