Is my DH right and is Clover awful?

He likes the name in itself, but says she will be bullied etc because of her name and the association with butter. We both work in education and I did get him to admit to not being able to name a single incident of a child being bullied solely because of their name.

I love it, I was a huge fan of 'What Katy Did' and Clover was my favourite.

He says if I can put Clover butter out of business, or find five people who don't think of butter straight away then I can use it...

What about Clea, OP, if you 're looking for a name similar to Clover/Cleo/Clodagh? And in terms of literary references for that, there's Durrell's Alexandria Quartet (if you like Durrell...)

I have to agree with your D.H. I don't like it sorry. Outlandish names work in fairy tales and story books, but not always that well in real life

Your DH is right, sorry.
