There was:

No unusual, interesting names! Even the giraffe was called Hannah!

Names I heard were

Tia,
Cai,
Jake,
Scarly (Mum and debated whether this was short for Scarlett)
Hugo.

Everywhere I go I see/hear -Mai names.

A few names I've heard recently are:

Trevor
Raffy
Mika
Leonie
Violet
Kyedon
Austin

There are also the million Ellie's, Jack's, Josh's and Olivia's etc so the above names have stuck in my mind.

Keegan for a girl is bloody awful. It's pretty ropey for a boy as well, but for a girl it's off the scale awful.

Some kids at my DCs school;

Fenella
Sigrid- Siri for short
Messiah- umm
Elektra, Harley and Clementine- sisters
Yaseen- he's Muslim and this is a traditional name apparently
Colt and Zelda- brother and sister

These kids all go to a prestigious private school so no wonder the outcome. Really, Messiah?

My kids have a few unusual names though;

-Isaac
-Delilah
-Ephraim
-Rosalie

Dolores is one of those Spanish names that started off as an attribute for the Virgin Mary.
It's the short version of 'Maria de los Dolores' - Mary of the Sorrows.
Sometimes girls are named simply 'Maria Dolores'.

The short form of Dolores is Lola or Lolita.

I heard a Bobby the other day, which I thought was sweet on a little boy and fairly unusual to my ear. I'm always surprised I don't hear of more Roberts as it is fairly classic.
