I was at a zoo in Norfolk yesterday and I said to my husband how similar and boring the names we heard were.... He wasn't interested!!

No unusual, interesting names! Even the giraffe was called Hannah!

All from the south coast :-)

I came across a Merlin and a Cliff on the same day. Twas in trendy South East London.

Iago reminds me more of the evil parrot in disney's Aladdin I'm so cultured

Everywhere I go I see/hear -Mai names.

Keegan for a girl is bloody awful. It's pretty ropey for a boy as well, but for a girl it's off the scale awful.

Heard someone calling for "Delores" the other day - thought it was a fab name.

My daughter was in toys r us yesterday with her grandad he always calls her scarly her real name is Scarlett. Or scarly warly doodle addle ay in the tune of the kids Robin Hood ooodle allly golly what a day.

Yaseen- he's Muslim and this is a traditional name apparently

These kids all go to a prestigious private school so no wonder the outcome. Really, Messiah?

Dolores is one of those Spanish names that started off as an attribute for the Virgin Mary.
It's the short version of 'Maria de los Dolores' - Mary of the Sorrows.
Sometimes girls are named simply 'Maria Dolores'.

The short form of Dolores is Lola or Lolita.

I heard a Bobby the other day, which I thought was sweet on a little boy and fairly unusual to my ear. I'm always surprised I don't hear of more Roberts as it is fairly classic.

Was it Banham zoo by any chance pebbles? That's where I heard Bobby!
