Jayden Lee or Mason ??

Hi this is my first baby and I've been unsure on names since day 1!!

These two have stuck with me for a while all though I do keep going on and off both! I don't have a middle name for Mason yet, as I can't think of any, so ideas are welcome!

But I do like it and Jayden Lee isn't a double barrelled name or anything he'll just be called Jayden, but I just like the sound of lee with it :)

What do you think, I wasn't too sure if these were 'chavvy' or 'common' names !

Truth?

Both will be considered "chavvy" or "common" by some people.

I prefer Jayden. I don't like Mason at all at all. I would have a different middle name I think though, as Lee as a middle name always makes me think of rockstar guitarists with too much hair and eyeliner!

TheBeautifulVisit · 25/03/2014 08:32

Which sounds better depends on his surname.

It's worth bearing in mind that they are names that might not stand the test of time very well.

stuckindamiddle · 25/03/2014 08:37

I don't like either sorry. They will also date badly and become the Colin / Keith / Lesley of the future.

stuckindamiddle · 25/03/2014 08:37

OTOH I do like Jay, just that.

SpecialAgentFreyPie · 25/03/2014 08:38

I like Jayden, Jay is a lovely nickname.

princessalbert · 25/03/2014 08:38

I don't like either of them.

Jay/Jai is okay.

CookieLady · 25/03/2014 08:40

Not Jayden.

Vatta · 25/03/2014 08:40

Sorry, but honestly Jayden is a very chavvy (I hate that word but don't know how else to put it!) name.

Mason is much better of the two.

vichill · 25/03/2014 08:41

Mason is better than Jayden. It's sad but a boy called Jayden Lee will get judged harshly by the katie Hopkins of the world.

James is a lovely name.

mrssmith79 · 25/03/2014 08:44

Mason is OK, Jayden Lee looks like it should be followed by Clampet ( sorry). What about Hayden or Aidan?

BeaWheesht · 25/03/2014 08:57

I think they're lovely, not chavvy at all. In fact I suspect he will grow up to be a high court judge just because of his name.

NoIdeasForUsername · 25/03/2014 09:02

I like Mason (but then I generally like surname names) as it sounds cute for a little boy, but also strong. Jayden? I know two people with this name, both spelt Jaiden. I like the nickname JJ/JayJay but am not a fan of the name as a whole, it's fairly popular where I live at least, so I can see a lot of people do like it.

sebsmummy1 · 25/03/2014 09:05

I like Jay!

hunreeeal · 25/03/2014 09:06

Mason

Descalzada · 25/03/2014 09:06

Jason

Turquoisetamborine · 25/03/2014 09:14

I wouldn't touch either of those names with a barge pole, sorry but if you like them that's all that matters.

justasmallone · 25/03/2014 09:16

If you like that use them but sorry i think they will scream chav to most people

Tea1Sugar · 25/03/2014 09:47

Neither. Jason at a push.

wigglesrock · 25/03/2014 10:10

I always think of Jayden as a girls name.

I know a couple of Jays not shortened from anything.

Mason leaves me a bit cold. I quite like Jason - you don't hear it so much any more.

Theonlyoneiknow · 25/03/2014 10:13

Yawn if YOU like them use them. MN opinion doesnt matter, You are only getting a niche opinion.

I like both names FWIW but prefer Jayden to Mason

Dietagainmonday · 25/03/2014 10:37

I love the name Mason
