Jayden Lee or Mason ??

Hi this is my first baby and I've been unsure on names since day 1!!

These two have stuck with me for a while all though I do keep going on and off both! I don't have a middle name for Mason yet, as I can't think of any, so ideas are welcome!

But I do like it and Jayden Lee isn't a double barrelled name or anything he'll just be called Jayden, but I just like the sound of lee with it :)

What do you think, I wasn't too sure if these were 'chavvy' or 'common' names !

Neither. You should call him Tarquin.

Or Voldemort.

I simply can't decide which one I like best...

MamaPingu · 25/03/2014 20:09

I really dislike both, I don't think they'll stand the test of time at all and like another poster said they will both be seen as very chavvy names!

I like Voldemort, tbh. Voldemort Flimflammery Snootipants.

Would appease the snobby fuckers for sure :)

Jayden-Voldemort

This thread reminds me of when I was pregnant with ds1. First grandson for both sides of the family and they all wanted to help name him.....

MIL wanted him to be called Blaze or Harley
DM wanted him to be William or John (after great grandfathers)
Great aunty wanted him to be Nobrutius Carunther Macadamia (I was never sure if she was joking or not)

I picked a name that I adored but everybody was horrible about it to the point I cried my eyes out (had baby blues then pnd) and in the end dd1 picked his name and the name I wanted is his middle name.

It always makes me laugh on these threads.

People slag off names like Jayden, so the same old posters rock up on the thread and respond by slagging off names like Araminta.

They are obviously blind to the irony of this. Grin

Not keen on either tbh.

Mason makes me think of a stone mason. Actually, one of my s/kids friends is called mason and they call him stoned mason.

Much prefer Hebrew spelling of Jayden - Jadon. I don't like Jayden Lee at all, but I have never liked the name Lee.

I am keen on what names actually mean. Perhaps look into that to help you decide?

If the OP is genuine, then to answer her question seriously - Go for Mason, there are so many Jaydens, Jaidens, Jadens, Jaydons etc etc etc around at the moment, that the boy will have to spell his name out to everyone. It would drive me mad.

Mason is much better.

One of my rellies tried to do the family history a few years back, but found that once he got a few generations back they were all called Mary, Peter, Andrew and Michael. And had the surname Smith.

So he gave up.
