Wondering what names would go well with Percy, for a boy. I don't like names that are common and I don't like way out there names. I'm more a old man kind of baby namer... Thanks in advance for suggestions Wink

Stanley or Sidney.

Sorry, that sounded garbled. You mentioned Chester earlier! I only know animal Chester's but it's a nice name. I am in bed poorly so not fully functioning.

KatoPotato · 07/03/2014 13:15

Robin?

LexieSinclair · 07/03/2014 13:27

Frank, or Ernest.

Timothy, Thomas, Rupert, Hugh, Henry, Oscar, Benjamin or Barney.

HoneyandRum · 07/03/2014 17:10

First one that came to mind was Reg which is a great name and I see has already been suggested a few times. Percy is wonderful.

Walter?
Jameson (thinking of the Just William books and one of Ethel's admirers is Jameson Jameson)
Marshall
Clive
Morris
Maurice

This thread has taken off OP.

My Algie suggestion is short for Algernon, way the top of the thread.

Has anyone suggested Ernie, Eric, Perry (not sure to could have that with Percy), Lenny, Cyril, Cedric, Bertram.

Ooh I'm planning a Percy its a great name! How about Sebastian?

OpalQuartz · 07/03/2014 19:58

Just googled and it's actually Redser

BNmum · 07/03/2014 20:09

Great list honey, where did you find the 1900 list? Any chance you could post a link, I'd love to have a peek too

LittleMilla · 07/03/2014 20:13

Your boys can hang out with my sons Wilf(red) and Gilby (Gilbert). My eldest also has a good mate called Herbie too Grin.

We had Rafferty on our short list for ds2. And we've also given him James as a mediocre normal middle name should he hate his name in later life, dinosaur Wink.
