Baby DD is called Persephone. Non Sephy. It really suits her

thehomesecretary · 26/12/2013 18:38

That should be nickname Sephy

Inkspellme · 26/12/2013 18:50

I have a Tara Niamh.

rugbychick · 26/12/2013 18:58

I have a Harriet with 2 middle names. I like Gabriella, but dp didn't. It really suits her. Now there are with girl names I might have considered like Anna and Emily. But we aren't having any more. Plus it doesn't seem to be all that common at the mo

IneedAsockamnesty · 26/12/2013 21:04

Persephone, Cordelia and Pandora (I have another dd but she's asked me not to use her name online)

Names I didn't use but wanted

Arabella star (was 11 when I picked that one)
Blaize (mn talked me out of it)
Ruby ( got to popular)
Violet (close relative picked a hideous nn)
Octavia but I can't remember why I didn't use that

DessieLou · 27/12/2013 21:10

I wanted Elena/Alaina or Ellena. DH wanted Annabelle or Lucy. She didn't suit any of those or the other 10 on the list! She ended up being Madeleine. Smile

TessOfTheBaublevilles · 28/12/2013 00:31

My daughters are Sarah and Mary.

Names we considered that we didn't use were Elizabeth, Rose, Margaret and Eliza.

londonmummy436 · 29/12/2013 17:26

My DD is Emma Jane as it fits great with surname and my neices are Sophie Amelia and Annabelle Harriet Octavia (long winded i know!)

My DH would only consider very traditional and safe names as thats the pattern our older children's names take but i loved Kathryn, Lila and Matilde

MummyUmizoomi · 29/12/2013 19:30

I have an Alexandra who was very nearly Arella, Aveline Aradia, or Angela. She spent about a week being called A while we decided. I still quite like the latter three though Aradia would be a bit too much I think.

I also have a Mirabelle. With her, I had an even longer list of names, like an entire page of names for all options. None of the A names made it because I didn't want to have two with the same initial like I have with my siblings, but I recall it included Evelina, Liviana, Mercia, Valora and several that went both ways like Robin, Avery, Morgan, Jaimie. I actually still have a revised version from after DS2 that I use for writing and for those asking for suggestions Grin.

deeleigh123 · 05/01/2014 16:39

Violet Rose Ann. Violet after Baudelaire in a Series of Unfortunate Events, Rose because I like the odd noun in a name and Ann as it's my mother's middle name. I've always wanted Rachel as a middle name but I thought 5 names was pushing it a bit haha !

Newjobthankgod · 05/01/2014 17:49

My DD is Abigail Elizabeth

other names we liked were

Catherine
Mary
Susannah
Virginia
Imogen
Rose
Hannah
Rachel
Anna

SkaterGrrrrl · 06/01/2014 18:35

Rosalind.

Also on the short list were Miranda, Elizabeth and Jessica.

lovetheseasons1 · 06/01/2014 18:40

A friend recently named her girl Arabelle (ara-bell) and all of us naming our daughters wished we had chosen it :)

TallRedhead · 06/01/2014 18:44

My dd 2yo is Heidi.
Liked Issabella but thought it was getting too popular. 36 weeks with dc 2 and if a girl I love Matilda, Polly and Penelope!

SkaterGrrrrl · 06/01/2014 19:22

Spork I LOVE Mirabelle. DH wouldn't have it. Stupid boys.

Surf25 · 06/01/2014 19:53

Didn't use Hannah, Katie, Thea or Beth
Might still use one or other if we get the chance, other name I love is Naomi

LadyHarrietdeSpook · 06/01/2014 23:54

Considered but didn't use:
Clementine
Phoebe
Zelma Ines (after DH's grandma but both he AND his father hated it!)

Love our DDs names now though.

LadyHarrietdeSpook · 06/01/2014 23:57

Cecily is gorgeous.
