And what were the names that you liked but didn't use?

I didn't have a girl but loved Lilah (Scottish for Lily), Saskia and Elizabeth is beautiful :)

MadameJosephine · 12/12/2013 23:33

DD is Jennifer, we also loved Sofia, Constance, Elizabeth and Iona

TheNightIsDark · 12/12/2013 23:34

I liked Harriet, Ella, Amelie, Karis and Indy.

She's Alexandra Elise.

RhondaJean · 12/12/2013 23:41

Mines are quite unusual I think

Jude and Afton

Totally outing me to anyone who knows me but the most interesting thing I usually post on here is what I've bought people for Christmas.

NoAddedSuga · 12/12/2013 23:42

My child is Devon Elizabeth

I really liked

Savannah
Lydia
Olivia

Mrsantithetic · 13/12/2013 00:02

Mine is Elizabeth.

Other names in the running where Kirsten, Jessica and Emily.

If dd2 is a girl I still like those names and Freya but dp hates Freya by association.

DS1 would have been Molly Elizabeth.

DS2 would have been Holly Elizabeth or Natalie Rose.

DD is Poppy.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 13/12/2013 00:25

Forgot to add the other names on our list for DD....

Chloe
Mia
Tilly
Minnie

MortifiedAnyFuckerAdams · 13/12/2013 00:28

DD first name was one of.only 13 the year she was born, so Im.hesitant to type it all out but her first name is the eldest March Sister and her middle name is the girl in Wonderland Grin

We also wanted Liv. Toyed for hours in the hospital with whether felt brave enough to use Liv.

I was recently pregnant and sadly had a MMC at 11 weeks. Whilst we didnt know the sex, the only name I wanted was Olive, so much as I love it, I cant use it again.

If DD was a boy she would have been Max or Travis. Our 'are we brave enough' name was Jesse.

Oswin · 13/12/2013 00:32

My dd is called lylah. I really wanted to call her delilah, but exdp, wouldnt have it.

Mrswellyboot · 13/12/2013 00:42

I will use Mary if I am lucky enough one day.
I also like Ellen

Spottybra · 13/12/2013 01:14

I liked Tess and Ruby but DH vetoed the first and I decided there were too many little Ruby's in my neighbourhood. I tried a lot of names out on her, Gabrielle, Rose, Rosalie, Viola, Jessica, Quinn, Cleo, Bryony, Nina, Amelia....

She was christened Erin

For DS1 who is 21 he would have been either

Elsa, Elspeth, Beth/Bethan Lois, Grace, Domini or Xanthe.

I think I would have gone for Elsa or Lois in the end with Rose as a middle name.

For ds2 who is 19 - Elsa, Elspeth, Lois (I think I'd gone off the others by then)

DS3 who is 15, Elsa or Lois (I'd gone off Elspeth by then!)

At least I'm consistent. Grin

Theonlyoneiknow · 13/12/2013 11:43

annakin31 Eilidh is a fab name

weeper · 13/12/2013 15:50

I have a Rosa

Other names we considered were Eilidh, Anna, Tessa, Maeve, Erin, Eve, Beth

QuietNinjaTardis · 13/12/2013 15:56

Dd is Maia, her middle name is the same as mine.

The other names on our short list were Isla and Isabelle
Dh also liked Chloe, Megan and Imogen and I liked Thea, Sophia and a whole host of names that Dh vetoed.

ASmidgeofMidge · 13/12/2013 16:06

DD (now 6) is Eva. Others on the list at the time included Mollie, Martha and Flora...

oopsadaisyme · 13/12/2013 16:15

Oh I had two boys, names I would have used if girls:

Charlotte (Charley)
Evie
Jocelyn (Joss)
Imogen
Felicity

x

oopsadaisyme · 13/12/2013 16:20

You don't see any Felicity's out there now!?? My best mate in primary school was Felicity, and we used to call 'Flick' - I just love that name! x

ohtanmybum · 13/12/2013 16:24

Quiet Maia Ninja, great name Xmas Wink

ThurlHoHoHow · 13/12/2013 16:28

Alexandr(i)a (just to make it unsearchable as it's slightly unusual Smile)

Didn't really consider any other names as we were certain, but the few that were knocking around were Elizabeth, Emma and Hannah.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 13/12/2013 16:50

I've got a Ruby Sad. I did quite fancy calling her ZamZam, but DH quite rightly pointed out that, had we carried on living in the coutnry she was born in it was unremarkable.
Hearing a child shout Zaaaaaam in a playground in London, not so.
The only good thing about her name is she likes it.

oopsadaisyme · 13/12/2013 17:05

OMG, their are so many beautiful girls names, how do you choose!!

Kreecher Ruby has thrown me, I love that name, never even thought, my new fave!
