What are your thoughts on this girl's name?? We already have Aurelia Rose and Poppy Jessica, quite like 'unusual' names and also flower names? Baby due in just over a week and just can't decide! Btw, if it's a boy, we love Flynn.

Sounds made up to me

MardyBra · 09/04/2013 23:29

Your other names are lovely btw.

ZenNudist · 09/04/2013 23:30

Awful, and not real

Vijac · 09/04/2013 23:33

I like the names you have but not the new one (daren't try and spell it from memory!). How about Holly, Primrose, Posy, Rose, Lily, Daffy or Skylark?

sjupes · 09/04/2013 23:33

Is it a made up spelling of taylor?

PurpleStorm · 09/04/2013 23:33

It sounds a bit made-up. And I'm not entirely sure how it should be pronounced. Looks like it should be Tea - Lah?
And it doesn't look like it fits very well with Aurelia and Poppy either.

Flynn's a nice name.

Vijac · 09/04/2013 23:34

Oh yes, I like Flynn too.

pooka · 09/04/2013 23:35

According to google it is a name meaning watercourse.

But when I first saw it I'll admit I we tring to work out what it was a misspelling of, or whether it was a word backwards like nevaeh/heaven.

It just looks a bit wrong to me and doesn't really fit aurelia and poppy which aren't desperately unusual or off the wall (and that's a positive to me). They're pretty.

Flynn is great. I know a lovely 8yr old Flynn.

Daphne? Dahlia? Iris? Primrose? Flora?

pooka · 09/04/2013 23:39

Violet. Viola.

Slavetothechild · 09/04/2013 23:46

Its my sisters name !!! Not a made up name at all its lovely :) its pronounced tee lah

Vijac · 09/04/2013 23:47

Having just suggested Skylark, I'm not sure I'd actually recommend that one haha!

enjay0811 · 09/04/2013 23:52

I think it's of Indian origin? slave can you confirm? it has been suggested by a family member and I thought it sounded made up too at first but is sort of growing on me. Just wanted others reactions so thanks for the feedback Smile. Dh likes fleur but I think it just sounds like 'blur'?! It's so hard!

How about Tia or Talia?

Aurelia Rose, Poppy Jessica and...

Talia Briony
Coralie Miranda
Iris Julia
Aster Seren
Jasmine Louisa
Olivia Marianne

enjay0811 · 10/04/2013 00:10

Quite like Talia but bit similar to my own name Smile

Another on the shortlist is Bonnie but not sure?

Great suggestions xx

I think she'd feel jealous of her sisters. I don't like it sorry.

Pancakeflipper · 10/04/2013 00:12

Constance would fit nicely.

ThePathanKhansAmnesiac · 10/04/2013 00:15

Sweetpea.

Bartlebee · 10/04/2013 00:19

I dislike it as it sounds made up, sorry.

I like Fleur though. I know a dog called Bonnie.

It's hideous.

pooka · 10/04/2013 08:43

I don't like bonnie. It does, I'm afraid, make me think of a dog's name. Don't like fleur either.

AnonymousBird · 10/04/2013 08:47

Bronte?
Jasmine?

CheeseStrawWars · 10/04/2013 08:55

Reminds me of Teela from He-Man.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teela

UnrequitedSkink · 10/04/2013 09:29

Lydia goes well with the names you have, imo...

enjay0811 · 10/04/2013 10:05

Bonnie def more a dog's name then?! Hmmm

Didn't realise teela was a he-man character! Lol

Lydia is nice but also a close friend's daughters name.

Let's hope it's a boy cos I'm struggling with another girl's name Confused
