What are your thoughts on this girl's name?? We already have Aurelia Rose and Poppy Jessica, quite like 'unusual' names and also flower names? Baby due in just over a week and just can't decide! Btw, if it's a boy, we love Flynn.

Flynn is a boys name - so if you were also thinking of it for a girl (female TV character, sleb?) then you could have one choice for either/both.

doublecakeplease · 10/04/2013 10:13

My cousin is Telche (pronounced 'tel sher' similar... ish??

UnrequitedSkink · 10/04/2013 10:48

Lydia goes well with the names you have, imo...

UnrequitedSkink · 10/04/2013 10:48

Tealah is not good. It might not be made up, but it certainly looks it.

Thea is a good suggestion. How about Tamar?

Tamarisk and Zinna for more unusual flowers. Delphine, Sorrel, Amaryllis?

fussychica · 10/04/2013 17:22

Awful - sounds like a mispronunciation of Taylor. How about
Laurel/Laural
Letticia
Peony
with perhaps Grace

usualsuspect · 10/04/2013 17:44

I think it's a very pretty name.

I like it a lot.

Slavetothechild · 11/04/2013 09:46

Sorry i have no idea of the meaning !!!! But then my own name doesnt have a meaning either :(

EhricLovesTeamQhuay · 11/04/2013 22:09

Terrible to be honest.

kerala · 13/04/2013 09:30

If you like unusual maybe rethink Flynn there are lots of Flynn Finns round here

LondonMother · 13/04/2013 09:33

Don't like Tealah. How about Tansy? That's a flower name and unusual, as far as I know, but easy to spell and pronounce.

MooMe · 13/04/2013 11:04

Perhaps you mean "Tehila" which in Hebrew means "glory"?

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 13/04/2013 11:05

Makes me think of tealight, sorry it sounds made up.

ENormaSnob · 13/04/2013 11:16

I don't like it at all but if you and your dh do then that's what matters imo.

Frikadellen · 13/04/2013 12:59

I like it. Think it is really lovely amd foes with the other 2 well. Go for it.

mathanxiety · 13/04/2013 22:09

Don't like Tealah. On top of the madey uppey look it is very wispy imo and sounds like tea leaves.

Would you consider Tallulah?

Or
Tamsin
Laurel (maybe too close to Aurelia)
Bellamy
Camille
Aven
Rosalie
Rue
India
Willow

ChasingStaplers · 13/04/2013 22:12

Makes me think of he-man.

dementedma · 13/04/2013 22:14

Viola is pretty

ButterflyBrain · 13/04/2013 22:18

I have a friend called Teala. Is it greek?

PixieRae · 29/11/2014 01:40

I know this is old. But goddamn there's some mean comments on here. My name is Tealah. My grandmother read the name in a book, Tealah was a greek goddess. It IS a made up name, but that's the REAL beauty of it I think. I'm inlove with my name & wouldn't have it different.

burgatroyd · 29/11/2014 06:03

Tealah sounds lovely.

I do prefer He man spelling though of Teela

LoxleyBarrett · 29/11/2014 06:20

PixieRae - what was she the Greek goddess of - I can't find a reference to it. The nearest is Teela - Warrior goddess from a Masters of the Universe.

burgatroyd · 29/11/2014 07:36

loxie that's mean but giggle worthy!

However I am with pixie on this. Just because a name is made up doesn't mean its yuk
