Have just dug a list of possible names for my future DC I made when I was 15 or 16. It contains such gems as:

Girls:

Misty
Rio
Destiny
Lutricia
Kiri
Loralei
Tea (with a dash over the 'e' i.e. pronounced Taya)
Pinkie

Boys:

Nolan
Drey
Bu
Jenner
Duane
Clifford
Fox
Wilder

Feel free to point and laugh, and to share the mental names you once thought you might call your DC.

I distinctly remember a conversation with our group of girls when we were 14 about this and we wrote them down on postcards!

(Mine were Leannah and Maia, and Elliott and Zane).

Wishfulmakeupping · 23/11/2012 21:51

Jade/Gabrielle but can't remember which boys names I liked

FloJo151 · 23/11/2012 21:53

my girls name was 'Jessamyn'
i liked jessica and Jasmine so decided to merge them together!

ilikefestivitea · 23/11/2012 21:55

At 15, a boy would have been jon richard in honour of my love of Bon Jovi Blush. Didn't have any girls names.

Wetthemogwai · 23/11/2012 21:55

I wanted boy/girl twins called maxi and flo until someone pointed out it sounded like a tampon

EduCated · 23/11/2012 21:55

For girls: Harriet, Carrie and Alexandra.

For boys: I was determined I would have a Willow, Will for short...

MrsBungleBear · 23/11/2012 21:56

Ooh great thread.

Mine were kai, zane, Jessica, Tia and renee! Good lord.

CanYouGetDownPlease · 23/11/2012 21:56

I desperately wanted a daughter called Toni. I thought it was the height of sophisticated cool. Further down the list were Lacey and Shannon. I'd write them down in a book as and when I was inspired so as not to forget them in later life Hmm

PrincessOfChina · 23/11/2012 21:57

Kieran Matthew
Mark Robert
Ruby Edith

I still quite like Kieran and would have used Ruby had it not got so popular. Edith is DD's middle name.

I'm still a massive Take That fan but probably won't be naming any children after them...

SlightlySuperiorPeasant · 23/11/2012 22:01

Kai
Tai

Sarah
Emma

Hmm

DS and DD have very different names.

Piezilla · 23/11/2012 22:01

My DS has a currently very popular old Testament name that I have loved since I was a teenager. If I had had him when I was in my early 20s I would have been cutting edge. As it is, I had him in my mid 30s and he is just one of millions with the same name!

rathlin · 23/11/2012 22:03

Channing.....think it might have been for a girl. Too much Dynasty, Knots Landing nonsense in my head.

AlwaysHoldingOnToStarbug · 23/11/2012 22:07

I had a list of what my 6 children would be called. Unfortunately it got thrown away and I've forgotten most of them.

Ashley was a boy.
Charlotta for a girl. I didn't want Charlotte because she was a nasty bully in my class, so changed it slightly!

SandStorm · 23/11/2012 22:07

At that age, my first born daughter was going to be Saffron. And that was before AbFab.

WhatWouldVegansDo · 23/11/2012 22:08

The name I liked for a boy when I was 15 is the name I gave to my son when I had him about 20 years later!

sausagesandwich34 · 23/11/2012 22:09

my girl was going to be Bronwyn or Tiegan

boy was going to be Finn

(not that I was into aussie soaps or anything)

LadyLetch · 23/11/2012 22:09

I remember loving Georgiana at about 15. I had read it in a book somewhere... Can't think where now. My daughters have different names Grin.

peanutMD · 23/11/2012 22:11

Kevin and Abi

sparkle12mar08 · 23/11/2012 22:12

Storm
Jet
Raven

Blush Oh, the shame...

sweetkitty · 23/11/2012 22:14

Oh I had some belters

Carlene
Triony
Locksley
Kayleigh (like the Marillion song)

Didn't have any boys names, when I was growing up all dolls we're girls I didn't want any boy babies. I know have one DS and three DDs

UnnamedFemaleProtagonist · 23/11/2012 22:15

Jai for a girl or a boy. Blush

ArthurandGeorge · 23/11/2012 22:18

Christiana Jayne

Raphael

I went for some rather less flowery names!

BloodyStupidJohnson · 23/11/2012 22:21

Mine are terrible!

I wanted two boys and was going to name them Bastian and...Keith.

I have sons. I chose different names Grin

Queenofthehill · 23/11/2012 22:21

A girl called Aurora. Blush No boys' names as was convinced i'd have one girl. He's now a boisterous 18 mo.
