Pretty, cool & unusual girls' names

We have just found out that our third (and final) attempt at IVF was successful and that we are having a girl. Although I've had years to think of names, I am completely out of inspiration at the moment. Also, we live overseas so are not familiar with the trends in the UK.

I would really appreciate some suggestions. I am looking for a pretty name, but one that is also cool. And not in the Top 100.

Any ideas? Thanks!

IamAnnaBanana · 30/01/2012 14:09

Oh well there are going to be a lot of "unusual" names in the future (very Australiana/Americana)

GAPANTS - How on earth is Maggie SHORT for Magda ??

MamaLazarou · 30/01/2012 14:11

My apologies, Denj33 - I thought you were joking.

IamAnnaBanana · 30/01/2012 14:11

Have I just seen Calypso as a suggestion? Why would anyone do that to a child/dog/goldfish?

IamAnnaBanana · 30/01/2012 14:13

I thought Quenelle was a sort of grain?? Is it not a sort of Quinoa thing?

Denj33 · 30/01/2012 14:13

Most people think I'm joking lol but I heard some call their daughter quenelle in paris about 15 years ago and I loved it-it means little pancake in French!!!

MalibuStacy · 30/01/2012 14:14

Ooh, I like Camilla.

The other 2 are a bit more "usual" tyler and Dominic (guess I ran out of imagination lol)

kerala · 30/01/2012 14:22

Tess - a brilliant name and weirdly underused so you won't have 5 in a class.
Hester
Augusta - everyone else hates this but I love it
