If you could choose just one boys name as your all time favourite- what would it be?

We are really stuck on a name for DS2. We already have DS1 who is Joseph, we loved this name from day one and never ever had any doubts throughout the pregnancy and when he was born it just 'fit' and suited him perfectly. I think I love his name so much that thinking of another I like as much is impossible!

Currently names we like but don't LOVE are:
Thomas
Henry
Oliver

All fairly traditional and popular names but my question is if you could pick just ONE boys name, unusual, popular or traditional, what would it be??

Hugo, Finlay, Oscar and Noah are the best boys' names.

Alexander (DH)
Daniel (Dbrother)
James (Dbrother in law)
Joshua (nephew 1)
William (nephew 2)
Ben (nephew 3)

With all my favourite boy's names already claimed in my immediate family, we went for Thomas Joseph for DS - traditional names that happened to be our respective paternal grandfathers' names.

If we have another DS, he will be Christopher (Kit for short).

I adore Jonathan, so I was gutted when DH said he really didn't like it for DS.
Then I suggested Samuel, but no luck there either.

NotTheOneWhoIsntTheOtherOne · 10/11/2011 23:57

Moonbells- me too-I love it, but think I arsed up as gave DS the mn "John" (family name) so I can't really call DS2 Jonty, can I? What if DS1 decides he doesn't like his first name and wants to be called John? Then I'd have John and Jonty? Too weird.

jellycat · 11/11/2011 00:00

Jonathan is my fave Smile.

teacoupons · 11/11/2011 00:03

NotTheOneWhoIsntTheOtherOne · 11/11/2011 00:06

[seriously considers changing DS1's name by deed poll to free up Jonathan]

CreamolaFoamless · 11/11/2011 00:08

Keane

If I'd had another boy he would have been called Keane (hoping I can influence names of grandbabies if I they ever arrive)

KatharineClifton · 11/11/2011 01:37

Jesus, obviously.

SacreLao · 11/11/2011 02:13

Mi.e would be Brandon which is DS name.

I also really love Jaiden and Ianto (pronounced yanto) but no more DS,s for me now.
