Oliver and Olivia still top names.

I'm about to scour the rest of the list for inspiration and to check the names I've chosen aren't too popular

What do we think?

Hahahaha, none of my DC's are in the top 100, but funnily enough my dogs name's are! :) :). I didn't name my dogs, they were rescues......:)

My DGC does make the top 100 of boys names,unsurprisingly as not quite so much choice for boys.

Hooray - looked back through my children's years and there is no register of DD1 (so less than 3), DS1 is most popular with 46 others in his year, DD2 has 20 others in her year and DS2 is one of 7.

None of them are that way out and they can all be spelt pretty easily. Just not popular clearly. They stand a good chance of being the only ones in their school then

Tyelperion - I'm not Cornish, but I went to school with a Piran, (his parents were Cornish.) So I wouldn't even consider disputing whether your DH is right or wrong. :o
DD has a Cornish name so I half considered Piran as a name for DC2, to continue the Cornish theme, but our links are with the place she's named after rather than the rest of Cornwall.

Really do hope that the 6 little Success's live up to their names.

Well, if we have a boy (due in 2 weeks, eeeeek!!) he will be a Ewan (out of top 100), but Holly for a girl, which is popular, but Ava is our backup, which is even more so lol!!

There is three Ewan's in my sons class - yet that name is not even in the top 100 and wasnt higher than 90 last year!!

Our next door neighbours son is a Iwan. Think it's really popular here in Wales, but perhaps not so in England hence it's not in the top 100??

princessdave have you found the table? Apologies for the late reply, I was pissing around on the Xbox watching DS1 nap lovingly. If you open the spreadsheet in excel (the boy's list or the girl's) & go to the last table all names given to at least 3 babies are listed. Some are verging on child abuse. Especially 'Jack-Daniel', 'James-Dean' & 'Osama'. Why, just why!?

MelinaM I wondered if 17 baby boys were named 'Baby' as the parents hadn't decided on a name yet & were to change it later (at least I hope that's the case!)

Why were 8 baby girls named 'Lily-' with nothing after the hyphen or is this a typo?

Also, 7 baby girls called 'Chava' & 7 called 'Chavi', are these legitimate names or just poor babies belonging to stupid parents?

4 girls named 'Maisy-May' ... wtf? 4 named 'Marvellous' 7 girls named 'Hind', yes because that's going to work well in the UK...

Also, I think the numerous variations of each name (e.g. Maisie, Maizee, Mayzie, Maysie .etc) is so we can laugh at people's stupid attempts to make their child's name unique really see the diversity.

Only 3 boys called Teifi, which surprises me as I had two in the same class last year! I imagine they were all born in Cardigan/Carmarthen hospitals though.

DC1's name (if a boy) has jumped 29 places up the list here in Wales which is slightly odd. The chosen girl's name is just out of the top 100 for all of UK, and not on the Welsh stats. Was surprsied how many Welsh names were languishing at the bottom of the list. Looks like Geraint isn't fashionable these days!

Can somebody c&p the top 100 for both gender?
