I knew a Tayo. Named after a racing driver I think, his siblings were Ayrton and Senna Hmm

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 29/09/2010 14:08

isn't Taio Cruz some kind of singer?
"tay - o" or "tie - o"?

Flighttattendant · 29/09/2010 14:09

I keep thinking mayo as well, sorry Grin

Theo is nice.

BunnyLebowski · 29/09/2010 14:11

Makes me think of Tayto

So not good.

sonniboo · 29/09/2010 14:16

I like it pronounced Tie-o.

5DollarShake · 29/09/2010 14:17

Makes me think of Tayto too, and I'm not even Irish.

LetThereBeRock · 29/09/2010 14:18

Too cutesy.

Janoschi · 29/09/2010 14:19

How about Teilo (pronounced Tay-lo)? It's Welsh and has a similar feeling to Tayo....

shell96 · 29/09/2010 14:21

its adapted from taio cruz as we are trying to get a name that will fit in with DPs tattoo! Yes yes i can sense the raised eyebrows now :) he has his four kids names tattooed in a crossword pattern on his arm and wants the new one to fit too. I dont mind as i already have tons of names i like that fit. Its just getting one we agree on... We were going to pronounce it tay-o

O. My. Lord.
You are naming a child, not decorating his father's arm.
Ye gods.

Shock
shell96 · 29/09/2010 14:25

comments on the name are welcome. Comments on our reason behind it are not.

MollysChambers · 29/09/2010 14:27

Bit daft to give the reason then.

JoanHolloway · 29/09/2010 14:28

Good god.

5DollarShake · 29/09/2010 14:30

It does kind of make me think about the "day-o" song, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

Ineedsomesleep · 29/09/2010 14:32

The name is awful and so is your reasoning.

shell96 · 29/09/2010 14:33

normal judgemental mumsnet then...

OP posts:
MollysChambers · 29/09/2010 14:34
Hmm
Ineedsomesleep · 29/09/2010 14:34

Yep, pretty normal for Mumsnet, but you can't really ask for opinions and then complain why you get them.

Poshpaws · 29/09/2010 14:36

I thought of Taio Cruz as well. Is that his real name?

I'm not too keen TBH, but if you and DP like it...
