Christ you're right, she did too!

Apparently Channel 9 are doing a 1-hour special on this tonight. I don't have free-to-air telly so I won't see it. Possibly someone will put it online tomorrow, or provide a succinct recount 😎

Edited

You can watch it online (most Australian free to air tv channels are online, though you might have to create an online account with them with costs nothing and is quick and easy) through https://www.9now.com.au/ . You can watch it live tonight through that website, or watch it later whenever you choose.

*which costs nothing (is free), that should say.

And on top of all that, as if that's not enough, their beloved mother effectively called them liars during her trial. She really is shameless.

I missed that bit - what did she say they lied about?

it’s very sad for the kids

Thanks! I don't want to create more bloody free accounts but the link you've provided seems to work regardless. Cheers! X

Both of EP's kids were interviewed by the cops. Her son is older, so his words were taken a bit more seriously I suppose.

EP said many times that her son must have been mistaken. For example, about her drinking coffee the morning after the lunch. She maintained it was herbal tea.

Her son said he couldn't remember the roadside stop on the way to Tyabb for his flying lesson, where EP said she had to "empty her bowels". Again, she said he must have misremembered or been confused.

I guess I feel badly about this because I know all these places. Tyabb has a flight school- but it costs a lot of money. And the lessons are frequently cancelled due to high wind.

She continuously said her young son was wrong or mistaken or confused.

Oh I see - yes making him question himself. I hope they are able to get some help and that the family they are living with are able to give them some consistency and a loving environment

Dustyblue · 08/07/2025 08:10

Yes, let's hope so.

Funny that EP worked as an air traffic controller for a little while, and decided her son should have flying lessons. It's not the usual teenage activity.

It could be an awesome thing to do! But it costs a lot of money, is weather dependant and high risk. She did complain at one point about the number of cancelled lessons- uh, ya think?

You should be able to watch it on the 9now app i think?

Actually yeah found it on the app... it's called Murder by Mushroom 🤣. Good onya channel 9 🤣

Also, besides the point, but... why don't you have free to air??

Bruisername · 08/07/2025 08:18

It’s interesting reading all the stories from her past but I do think people remember in a way warped to the circumstance. If she had been the victim of a crime the language. And memories would have been very different!!

I think the hardest thing for the kids will be trying to understand why she did it - was it a warped revenge against people who didn’t support her in the way she wanted? Was she trying to protect her money?

NotOldYet · 08/07/2025 08:34

It's all very sad for the kids, I hope they're in a stable environment now.

I can't help but think, although Erin could have just poisoned their mind against their Dad, that there's likely to be a whole lot more going on. She's a monster, no doubt, but that doesn't mean the other parent is a perfect well rounded individual - the relationship sounded toxic and the fact the kids are still choosing to live elsewhere suggests he might not have been the best parent either. I hope they are in the best place for them now.

OMG! It turns out I can get CH9 after all!

I only watch ABC & SBS, so I thought that was all I could access without more freaking accounts and passwords.

You have just changed my life! What else is on commercial tv?? 😅

Channel 9 is owned by the same people as The Age newspaper, so might not add to it. Having said that, I've tried to re-format Age reports, but MN systems don''t accept PDFs.

Dustyblue · 08/07/2025 10:02

Big Bang is on Netflix! Ok think we've derailed enough.... hanging out for 7,30pm on CH9 😍

How do you know they aren't living with their father? I haven't seen anything about where they are living.

Oh bugger! Well I missed it too as I was out ferrying teenagers around. I might watch it tomorrow.

I've seen it reported that they are living with their aunt and uncle - and also mentioned on here

Babe, did you see the stuff about how he literally lost most of his bowel because she poisoned him 4 times?? I do not fucking get the victim blaming here, he was in an abusive relationship

Bruisername · 08/07/2025 14:09

Yes - I suspect she was very controlling from what’s been said

and how awful for him that he probably blames himself for the deaths (not that he should!) by not speaking up. The amount of trauma she has caused is terrible

NotOldYet · 08/07/2025 13:03

I don't think that is anything more than rumours- and if true I think it's more of a sign of her abuse than anything else. Poor kids

Thatsnotmynamee · 08/07/2025 14:46

'She's a monster no doubt, BUT'... I mean it's just baffling to me, people who think like this. She MURDERED HIS PARENTS FOR FUCKS SAKE, let's not try and make this some balanced debate

NotOldYet · 08/07/2025 15:17

All I'm saying is he's not immediately some kind of saint just because his ex/wife is a murdering monster. It doesn't automatically make him perfect. I'm not saying he deserves it, or that he's to blame for her actions, or even 100% that he's not perfect and the whole situation has been manipulated so the kids don't want to live with him.

I'm saying that it's rotten for the kids.

She's been convicted of murder and attempted murder, there is currently no conviction for cohesive control, domestic violence, parental alienation etc. We can't assume she's automatically guilty of those things any more than we can assume he's been a less than perfect parent.
