Toadstool finished, posted and blogged.
I need to blog the scarf I made for London and get busy making the stuff I sketched last night at work. (What would we do without our trusty notebooks)

mistypeaks · 10/06/2008 07:39

Ooooh Vintage - lemme look lemme look!!

Miaou · 10/06/2008 08:56

Finished my toadstool too! I am just making a wee brooch to go with it and will hopefully post today.

I got some fab wool from the pound shop which is closing down ( - I love pound shops) - I never usually buy wool without knowing what it's for, but I wasn't going to let this go! I might make a bag I think. It's this one in jardin (green/blue colourway).

And NBG - the material arrived and it is gorgeous!! Lots of lovely bags/linings coming up out of that, thank you!!

Oh, please all have a look at this new blog, it's by my toadstool swapee, Nita: Neet designs - she's only just started blogging but her stuff is lovely and some comments to get her going would be much appreciated!

mistypeaks · 10/06/2008 10:09

Ok. Have caught up with blog-hopping commenting!! Including Nita. If I have missed any of you guys out, apolgies, not deliberate. Give me a little nudge in your direction and I'll sort it out!!

jeangenie · 10/06/2008 12:08

VV - buttons arrived - beautiful (as ever) and you are a star to include all those little bits and bobs. DD1 will be thrilled (if I let her get her mitts on them!!!)

vInTaGeVioLeT · 10/06/2008 14:20

As my Japanese doll went a bit tits up needs remodelling, I scoured the net for a bit of inspiration and Lucinda was born.

She'll be wending her way to my Doll Swap Partner Camilla tomorrow

Miaou · 10/06/2008 17:23

Have blogged a pincushion that dd made at the weekend - all her own design and work! She is 11. (some nice comments would make her day I think )

lucykate · 10/06/2008 20:43

grrr, men!, they can't do things by halves can they?!. i just asked dh if he had a daylight bulb for in my sewing room so i can do some photography, yes, he says, but you'd be better off with this...

i now have the biggest lamp you've ever seen hovering above my desk, it's like working underneath a ufo

I've made a shaggy loop bracelet but its too dark to photo properly now. It's lovely & jangly though! Will try & take a pic tomorrow

Whizzz · 10/06/2008 22:14

Dior - Jillybeads are doing a buy one get one free on seedbeads here in the Clearnace bit (I LOVE clearance bits!!)

lucykate · 11/06/2008 00:41

it's very late and i should be in bed, but here is what i've been up to this evening and the reason i needed the daylight bulb. actually, it's worked pretty well, photography is ok, did have to do a few tweaks in photoshop but not much.

Miaou · 11/06/2008 09:06

Fab lucykate! Have commented and in the process wandered onto Gina Ferrari's blog - how fabulous is that orange sainsbury bag dress?? here

Off to the wedding tomorrow - eek (wedding not until Saturday though). All sewing completed for it though! I almost finished putting the zip in on the ballgown last night, only for ds2 to wake up wanting a feed as I finished basting it, so it will have to wait now until I get home from the wedding, which is a real pain. After that I only have the hem to sort out (assuming it all fits ok, which I think it will as I have done one fitting already). Fingers crossed.

I have decided what to do with my twister wool - I am going to knit a bag with it whilst I am away (no telly in the evenings!!). If I can find some 10mm needles before I go, that is ...

Miaou · 11/06/2008 09:06

Oh and thank you for the pincushion comments - dd1 was really chuffed
