i've become obsessed with bird softies, been googling birds the last few evenings for inspiration, taking my sketch book away with me this weekend to do some doodling.

I've made a hefty start on my toadstool, realising that they need to be done by 13th!
I'm aiming to get that finished tomorrow.

So not only having to make 4 more dolls, finish the toadstool and a doll for GM's swap, I've decided to make a sketch book cover for my dad for Fathers day.

He does a night class in etching and printing and has a sketch book full of lovely pictures.
I'm just struggling on deciding what fabric to use.

Nbg, my swappee contacted me and she's running behind too. Hopefully I should be done this weekend with the doll.

Oh yes I forgot to say! I made my first toadstool the other night too. As a first attempt I am quite pleased with it, but it is just that, I am definitely going to do more! IKWYM about creating a forest of them ... it's so tempting!

Thanks for the nice comments about my bag - I've just had an email commission for one - it will have to wait for a while though! (and thank you ranting for pointing out the book, I'm very glad you did!!)

I'm stuck what to do today.
My house is a cess pit. I need to hoover with a hoover that doesnt work properly, mop, put piles and piles of clothes away and de-clutter everywhere.
But I also want to finish my toadstool, cut out templates for my commisions and do my dads sketch book cover.

Oh and if that isnt enough, cook a roast dinner too.

Yes NBG, it's a RL friend (yes I have some ) who saw it on my blog. I'm a blog tart, I'm always telling people about it

We are going over to the next town this afternoon for a car boot sale, raising money for one of the Mother and Toddler groups I go to. Yesterday I made butterfly buns, secret ingredient biscuits, curly peters and rice crispy cakes, plus a huge chocolate birthday cake for dd1! I also managed to deliver it secretly to her patrol leader (she is away at Scout camp this weekend) so they will surprise her with it at some point today - I hope she isn't too embarrassed )

Off to make more toadstools now - still no pattern to make a ballgown - argh
