And here's yet another thread. Blimey we can chat!!!! I've been in London the past couple of days, looking forward to catching up on everything....

dizzy, i know what you mean about the set thing, i don't think you can separate the two, i've checked on my own photo's and they all appear in my main photostream aswell as in each set. i wonder if that is a feature that comes with a pro account?, dh has a pro account, i'll ask him.

i keep meaning to upgrade to a pro account, it's only about £12 a year, but i keep forgetting about it. i did actually register as self employed this week, finally!

Dior I love that bracelet - I've been messing with multi strand bracelets, not as nice as yours though

dizzy, they way round it is to have the easter swap as a 'group' rather than a set. if you start the group, then everyone involved has to join the group and put their own image in that group, that way, none of the images need to be in your photostream, it just takes a bit if admin to set it up.

it also means that the group can have its own flickr icon on the mn blog for people to click on and go straight to the swap group to see everyones work.

if you look on my blog, i've got 2 flickr icons now, one which is for my photos and the other goes to the toadstool swap group.

I don't mind setting it up as Ive collected all the pics togeher anyway - andwas goingto do the same for the Vintage Swap pics too

dior, what you need is a sitemeter as well as the hit counter, that can tell you so much about where blog visitors are coming from as you can follow links back, really useful, and free.

ooh - i put a sitemeter on - think i'm getting the hang of techno stuff now!!

but i can't work out how to join groups on flicker? advice please

for flickr groups, if you go to your photostream, look at the titles across the top and click on 'groups', then search for group, then basically type in any key words which describe your work, ie sewing, craft, felt, buttons etc, then the search will give you a list of groups associated with that subject. then you just need to join the group, then if you click on any one of your own photo's, there will be a send to group icon at the top of it, this opens up a list of all the groups you are a member of.

alternatively, if it's sewing groups you are looking for, if you go to my profile, below that there is a list of groups i've joined, just surf around those and join any that catch your eye.

without a pro account, each image can be in up to 10 groups, but flickr is a fab way of getting your stuff seen and you can gauge by the number of views/comments how popular something is, which generally translates into how popular it will be on somewhere like etsy as its a very similar audience.

Well I've joined the MN flickr group and I've added the toadstool icon to my blog LK.
How did you do it?
I thought of doing one for the doll swap but was completely clueless

I have completed my doll for the swap now so I'll be posting it off tomorrow.

I've also got my first appointment with a CPN tomorrow at home so wish me luck!

nbg, if you let me know if there is an image on flickr you'd like to use as a badge for the doll swap, i'll do it and let you have the html code for your blog, once you've got one, it's pretty easy to see how to do it again by replacing the url addresses with a different image and web address to link to
