@PickAChewAh yes, it’ll be Gaz’s. His Auntie Doris was a right judgy-pants. Although an excellent seamstress. It’s also tiny, in blokes’ terms. I’m a size 12-14 and it’s only slightly too big for me. No way would Gaz have got into it.

@Castlerigg or maybe it’s a shop jacket but the original buyer hated the feel of labels and picked them all out carefully.

@InMySpareTime I don’t think there ever was a label, there’s not a mark on it. I’m over my guilt now, Gaz didn’t want his jacket so I’m having a hat out of it.

Well I think the original creator of the jacket would be delighted that it was being refashioned into something else. Some of my favourite makes are ones that I made out of old clothes.

Not much new sewing for me recently but I’ve been repairing and altering lots. I’ve botched an alteration to my favourite tankini bottoms but realistically it was an ambitious attempt in the first place so I’m digging out the leftover fabric to make a new pair

Wore my Heidi jeans to the theatre tonight and felt great in them! The wide legs felt really swishy even though the denim is quite stiff. I felt quite stylish even though I probably looked like an extra from Starsky & Hutch 😂
