Here we go!

I am trying to crochet my fairy but struggling with the arms at the moment. Meri, I have finished my meme, and tagged a few more people, including dizzyday and lucykate

LK - yes, it is disgusting. Sadly, I think it will become more rife as the internet expands . I'm glad my stuff is not 'original' (i.e. I follow someone else's pattern).

I have blogged a labradorite necklace and would appreciate some honest comments, either on here or on the blog. I am not 100% sure about the quartz chips in it and may remove them tomorrow. Thanks.

Dior - (hands off Keanu !!) love love love the necklace. Don't you dare change a thing! Also loving your buys from Olympia - can't wait to see what you make with them.
Meri - Don't feel bad about DS - hey pick up all kinds of stuff all the time. Love the pic too - he's beautiful and a lovely picture. You could sell that!!! I've always had an urge to go to Seattle. Don't know why. There and Chicago and Vegas. My cousin lives in NY so I may do a US trip when the girl's are older.
Erm . . . . forgotten what else I was going to say .

I had another look at the necklace in the light. The quartz chips seem too white compared to the other chips and beads. Not sure what to do. I might wear it today and see if I get any comments.

Thanks Whizz. It looks a little darker in the photo. I might try and get a more clear picture later, seeing as the sun is actually shining .

no sun here either just lots of tears... DS feverish in the night and DH just left for work so floods of tears here... got some calpol down him and lots of cuddles bless...no pre-school means no crafting... well no painting like I wanted to do, have 2 small square box canvases that I had an idea for a while ago and now i feel inspired to paint them and well not a good idea to get the paints out while DS is about... going to make some sort of muffins/cakes with the mountain of bananas in the fruit bowl...

No sun here. Last day for me before school tomorrow.
I have finished the crochet - just need to assemble it & also want to do some more on the Mystery bag challenge (the beads are quite hideous - fluorescent hi Viz yellow/green seed beads )

DS doing a little better now.. he is looking through this book we borrowed from the library... some very good crafty things in it we have made some finger print jelly bean people a few days ago I'll sort out a picture later and blog it they are very sweet...

Dior my necklace came this morning
It is absolutely gorgeous and so well made.
You should be really proud of yourself.
My mum is here too and shes just pondering on ordering one in red
If she doesnt make her mind up today I'll order it for her if thats ok.

Meri hope your ds feels better soon.
Its horrid when they're poorly isnt it.
They never quite know what to do with themselves.

jg- book looks very good.. would say have a lok at it in a book shop.. some of it we do already some of it is for older kids, but its chock full of ideas to keep little ones busy and crafty... there is a page with making collage robots out of pictures of shny things from magazines and old springs and fuses, absoloutly brilliant idea... of couse have to dig out the box that has odd sized fuses that dont fit anything.... will pop package in the post to you later its ready and waiting to post... jsut need to wiat for MIL to come see DS so I can run up into town

DS and I have been painting, but he is on a low now and curled up by the fire under a blanket watching Lazy Town.... will take some pics and attemt to blog in a bit.. apparently my painting isn't pretty becuse I used black, and black isn't pretty or so DS tells me.

if I wasn't

a: on holiday from sunday
b: only ever sewn 3 flower corsages, and one that looks like a butterfly but was supposed to be a flower (its only half sewn) and not sure I would be capable of sewing something functional.
c: not finished with the vintage swap yet
d: have a huge mess of a house and everyone is ill.

I would join the felt swap... maybe next time

i am tempted by the felt swap, but my problem is dd finishes school on friday, 2 weeks holiday is going to reduce my crafting time radically, plus dh is going to new york, so i'm on my own for a week and potty training ds is planned!

that post i linked to about copying yesterday has been removed, the blogger was threatened with legal action, i caught her amended post via bloglines before it all went!

just been into town to stock up on jiffy bags, tissue paper etc, now have about 10 parcels to wrap and post, giveaways, secret gifts , etsy sales, birthday presents, 'pif's'.

have just made 2 more sales on etsy, thats 5 now , not bad for 2 days of trading (not to self, must register as self employed with tax office!!)

right, need help, gm, tilly, meri, how do you post your etsy sales?, do you just send first class or secure?, 2 of mine are to go to australia, the others are uk.
