DS is at his first night away with school - so me & DH have a night out

Got on with the owl today, dh and ds at home (it was learning plan day at ds school) so we had to do the school teacher consultation thing today, which was good [proud parent emoticon] so haven't got anything else done, bar that.

Whizzz, will have to look, I don't think it was that one, will know it when I see it though.

Ladies, next week is my last full week of housewifeyness, so I'm going to celebrate it in style by finishing up as much stuff as possible (and fitting in a bit of housework in the morning). The following Tuesday I will have to get up at [gasp] 6am to go to work! Can't remember the last time I got up at that time to get properly dressed and out of the door to WORK. Am all of a quiver!

OH MY GOD!!!! i've just seen the mini-quilt that ginger:monkey made for lucylocket - it is sooooo incredibly beautiful - go and look everyone [bossy]

GW - Yes am happier with the duvet cover now. 'Twas a stressful make (me being perfectionist on this one I think!). Went in to dd1 with it as soon as she woke up to try it on. Its a little short at the sides and a little too long along the length - but (and this is critical) she loves it. She kissed it and got back into bed . She's taken to carrying it round with her. So all in all - even though it's not perfect - it was a really good make.
Sorry for the big whinge about it. I was really upset .
Have to have a play with my sewing machine later and see if I can fix it.
loved the nipples btw . Especially the mermaid one.

I thought I would make a start on the doll for the swap last night and unbelievably I have finished it!
Its naked though atm so I need to make some clothes for it. Not something I am particularly good it so I'm having a read of my sewing book

I'll post some sneaky pictures on my blog later.
I dont want to give too much away in case Sara sees it.

GM that mini-quilt is soooo sweet! I really ought to try making some fabric based stuff (well, after making my suit anyway). It looks so much fun!

I've almost finished my custard slice but keep getting just a couple rows at a time before getting distracted - poor dh can't look at it without craving one so it must look quite realistic

thank you everyone I am seriously loving making those quilts...I've got a heap more to do for people who've said 'oh, can I have one please?!'

GM - I'm not taking you to Ikea again if you're going to make such fabulous things with their fabric!!
