jeangenie i'm glad you liked the package i think that apart from the swaps the only bit of crafting i do now is "packaging"!!!!
glad you had a good time in Ireland and that your Dad's doing ok. I've a friend who lives on Cape Clear island so we might even go and visit him soon - sounds lovely.

Gingermonkey · 12/04/2008 08:54

Thanks for all your kind comments girls. Feeling happier now I've had my hair cut .
I'm trying to get on with my bag. Almost there bar the sewing it together and embellishments!! I've even bought some fabric today to line it. (someone on here is always going on about a 'nice lined bag' and its stuck in my mind!! Who is it now?..).
I'll try not to go AWOL, but my mood swings and hormones are all over the place at the mo.

Nbg · 12/04/2008 20:01

I'm just off to look at your blog VV.
I've just realised though that I haven't got your blog listed on mine and every so many days I go through all of them to see what everyones been up to.

JG, I love the applique work. Its very nice.
Have a lovely time in France

I've just finished a heart for my friends dd.
I hope she likes it.

dizzyday07 · 13/04/2008 00:13

No crafting at all today.

DS, DD, Granny (my mum) and I went off to go swimming but I'd got the day wrong and all that was on was lessons. So off we trudged back to the car to go to "Donald's House" (DD's name for Macdonalds) only for me to shut DS's fingers in the car door!!

Therefore we trundled off to A&E where we had a 2 hour wait, and x-ray and a hole burnt through his nail to release the accumulated blood from underneath [yuck face emoticon]

We had to then trail back home to drop off DD and Granny and then I had a 6 hour round drive to take him to his dads

Hope tomorrow is a better day as I may have to drag DD and Mum off to Ikea

Nbg · 13/04/2008 07:32

Oh god Dizzy, hope he's ok.
I did that last year and it flippin well hurts.

We're all poorly here.
DS1 threw up in his cot on Friday morning then when dd came back from pre-school at lunch she just fell asleep at the table, so we sent her to bed and she fell asleep again, woke up came downstairs and fell asleep on the floor!
She's had a temp which has gone up and down, then yesterday ds1 started with diorreah and this morning has woke up with it again accompanied by a burnt bum and a temp.
Dh has walked in from doing a night shift not well, said he's had to go outside every 10 mins because he kept feeling sick and then to top it all off, I've got cold.

Happy Sunday

Nbg · 13/04/2008 08:03

Can someone tell me how you put that crafty blog union jack thing on a blog?

I joined up ages ago but I've had to do it again today and I cant put it on.

I've been putting it in the HTML/Javascript section but I dont know whether to copy and paste the whole code it gives me or just part.

Arghhhh its so annoying.

Nbg · 13/04/2008 08:06

its ok

I've done it

Miaou · 13/04/2008 09:42

oh dizzy and nbg, that counts as very crappy!! Hope today is better!

I have finished my boy doll, I can see all the errors but am going to make another one with the right proportions hopefully! Dd1 likes it anyway, and I'm very pleased with the hair, it worked just the way I wanted it to . Will blog later.

Ds2's grobag is finally falling apart - it was passed on to me by the lovely frogs and was ds1's as well - it is literally wearing out! So I got some fabric yesterday to make a new one. I am not good with patterns - I cut round the old one whilst ds2 was having his tea . Anyway I have now run out of thread - I always forget to buy thread! So I have come to a stop whilst I rummage around for something appropriate!

GM - Did Rapunzel arrive safely ? Hope she hasn't gone awol ....

Miaou - Ooh, a boy doll, looking forward to seeing that.

I have been asked about designing something for a boy after seeing 'Rapunzel'.
Any ideas anyone for a 4 year old ?

DD has gone swimming with dh so I get the house to myself for a bit. I've been sorting washing & ironing, got to do the hoovering and I need to go and buy some heavyweight interlining.
Then we are going to visit a friend this afternoon for a cuppa and cake.

Sorry to hear so many poorly little ones ..

I've almost finished my new logo so will blog later today hopefully.

Have a lovely day all ...

vInTaGeVioLeT · 13/04/2008 10:40

tillyboo - how about a pirate ship?
my 3yr old ds would love that

dizzyday07 · 13/04/2008 10:43

TB - what about a castle or fort of some sort? Or a car/truck?

Nbg · 13/04/2008 10:46

Tilly does she want it based on Rapunzel?

What about a knight climbing a tower or on a horse?

Robots
Footballer
Car/Truck/Bike
Bugs climbing a tree or something like that. In fact that would be quite good.

If it was for my ds he would love cars.

dizzyday07 · 13/04/2008 10:47

NBG - Sorry to hear about your sickies - hope they're all better soon.

I'm seriously thinking about signing up for your doll swap. I've never made one before but I have an idea for a new doll in my head so maybe this is the perfect opportunity to releas her into the world!!

dizzyday07 · 13/04/2008 10:49

Miaou - I await the pics of the boy doll - I keep thinking of ideas to make for boys but all I've come up with is a gonk in football team colours

Nbg · 13/04/2008 10:49

Ooooh yeah do it dizzy!
I've had someone from Norway saying she would like to join too.
She makes those Matykoshi (sp) dolls.

Her blog is called Ravenhill if anyone wants a nosey.

If you and her join dizzy that will be 6 so far.

We've got 6 days left for sign ups.
