Miaou- LOL i was just there and left a comment before I refreshed mumsnet! thank you very much.. its a good challenge... should add it to the mumsnet one... as all it takes are a few pictures of our various thought processes... its nice to see when an idea becomes a real object/painting.

Hi - popped in briefly to say a BIG THANK YOU to Meridian for the beautiful bracelet (for my Mum) and earrings (for me )

and to Tilly for the brilliant Freckles Bunny and doorstop!

They both arrived on the same day, which unfortunately was the day I had to decide to have my cat put down so I needed cheering up.

Can I add to the list of hangovers ! I was also out liast night with friends & was suffering this morning. Don't feel too bad now though - having sinful bacon butties!!

Just popped out & bought a bead mag, so off for a mooch - hope to make somthing this afternoon

weather is grim and dull down here, just having lunch, then going to make popcorn and settle on sofa with dc's to watch ratatouille.

The weather is glorious here, warm and sunny, but having been out all morning ds2 really needs to sleep, so we are stuck in the house for a while longer. Might start knitting dd2's poncho ...

Well finally we have a new laptop and I have updated my blog. I've stuck a picture on of the felted bag too.

Just while I'm on that. I felted the cahsmere cardi yesterday and it hasnt worked! I double checked the label and theres no mention of it being washable. ANy ideas why it hasnt worked.
It doesnt feel like its been felted but you would have thought that on a 95 wash it didnt stand much chance of survival.

hope all hangovers are cured now!!

bored boys today so we made some cup cakes... ds1 frowns at anything as girly as fairy cakes!! Just finished baking them, had a very late lunch and we had a cupcake each for afters!!
rest are cooling to be frosted.

cards, chocs and an altered pail await me so will have a little browse and hop to it.

After a very hectic week I have endulged myself with a little crafting today. LOL..but all I have managed is one little card!!

Plan to watercolour some stamped images tonight though, I need to get my act together and find my 48 hour day!

Oh Fubsy, I'm so sorry about your cat. I know exactly how you feel. I hope you are feeling a little bit cheerier . It's a horrible thing to have to do but the last kind thing you can do for a much loved pet. Big Hugs.

I've been a bit aloof on here but that's because of several reasons.

1. I'm trying to clean the upstairs as the decorator has now finished up there and I have had so much cleaning and sorting to do. I never knew plaster dust hung around for so long !

1. I've been experimenting with some new 'Non Toy/ Stuffies' creations.

I need to do a few more examples and then I'll blog ....

Apart from the Toy Safety headache I just fancied doing something a bit more growd up if that makes sense.

All will be revealed soon. I'm going to revamp my Etsy shop cos it's going rubbish and maybe a change in tack might help.

Dior yes it was very easy to curl. I used 7 strand Beadalon in the .12 thickness. It curled just like parcel ribbon. I think you would get a 'curlier' finish if you used really tiny beads. It's slightly more fiddly to thread the beads onto the curly wire, but worth the trouble to get the effect.
I've never bought that mag before & thought it had some good stuff in. I also started to try the maille bracelet but want to get some 'nice' jumprings as it started to look good - I may investigate the website that sells the kits

This weekend I've been struggling to design and make my bunny for the LucyLocketRecycledHerPocket Bunny-Hop-Bunny-Swap. The deadline to send it tomorrow and as mine has to go to Australia, I fear that my swap partner won't receive hers in time!!

I had decided upon a Miffy type bunny doll, but bottled it at the last minute and decided to stuck to something I vaguely know how to make - a cushion!!

Using this as inspiration I set off.

I had to ask GingerMonkey's advice at one point as it was turning out to look like one of TillyBoo's Bunny Hugglies () but I eventually finished!!

All I need to do now is design and make an Easter Card to go along with her

have done nothing this weekend but i hope to get some crafting done in the am before the loft ladder man decends in the afternoon sometime.

this week:

*upload items to the the etsy shop
*if the beads I ordered show up this week then I will be making some beaded necklaces with some delicious toggle clasps I ordered.
*make something out of the bits of felt I have left [hmmm]
*do a partners draw for the vintage swap deadline is tommorow if anyone still intrested.
*sort out some items for a give away as it mill be the one year mark for blogging soon.

i also have done no crafting this weekend, but lots and lots of cleaning due to the kitchen wall being knocked down - arragh the dust!!!

has anyone done decoupage? i wanted to decorate some wood letters for the nursery, with some bits of wrapping paper and cut outs from old books - bit of a vague idea, might have to blog this to try and make sense of it...

blah...grumble...missed a delivery of some beads this morning as I was in the bath and didn't hear a knock at the door... Have jsut spent over an hour and a half writing up some descriptions and uploading some jewellery to etsy. I have made one bracelet today and have been messing around with earrings but no pictures yet. The swap will close soon if anyone else wants to join. and I will have DS pull the names out of a hat randomly later this afternoon.
