Thanks Whizzz - I didn't actually take it in, my friend told the shop man who then phoned me and asked me to take stuff in, and now they've placed an order. I am far too much of a scaredy cat to do it normally!!!

DD1 has just done a VERY STRANGE thing and put herself to bed and is now fast asleep...it happened after an early evening of screaming and shouting (mostly just from her)she was screaming so hard I told her to go to her room where I wouldn't be able to hear her so well (I NEVER send them to their rooms). I felt really awful so sneaked up to see how she was and she is in bed fast asleep. Now , she did fall today (we think she is suffering from ataxia - a kind of loss of balance after chickenpox) so I am now wondering whether to rejoice that she is asleep (she is normally a demon to try to put to bed) or wake her up and make sure she isn't concussed or worse...

well, it pays (sometimes!) to have links in your blog sidebar. i've had an email today from a site that i link to for felt, saying they have noticed they are getting traffic coming to them from my link, so to say thank you, would i like to choose some free felt, how nice is that?!!

Just out of inteest, how do you work out your wholesale prices ? I've been given a formula but it makes the retail price ginormous

I don't think I'll be sending her to school tomorrow though (GROAN!) as I am a bit worried about the physical clumsiness she's shown every time we've left the house lately...seeming the virus can get to the brain and inflam eit a bit (this ataxia thing) which causes problems with balance and moods and stuff (would explain a lot)

I am going to the practice nurse myself tomorrow and think I'll drag her along...just for a chat

TB - wholesale prices - I make them up completely, by working on what the shop will sell them for. Mark up is usually 2.5 times, so my wholesale price needs to be sensible. Obviously, factor in an hourly rate and I'm making bugger all . It's more so the local yummy mummies notice and hopefully I'll get traffic to my dolls. That's the idea anyway.

sorry i haven't been around much this week it seems very busy doing nothing much.. very little crafting but DH and DS are buzzing around home this morning so getting stuff all done.. though I did just send DH into the kitchen to make some coffee

OK, I have decided I would like to make a "roll" to keep my knitting needles in (this after spending ten minutes yesterday evening looking for my 3mm needles, then realising they were holding a wip ). I'm not a great sewer though. Anyone know of a good pattern (preferably downloadable and preferably free ) that I could look at? Or am I asking too much?

I decided to line my zebra slippers - did one last night, hopefully will complete the other one later today, then will blog them.

Everone else's photos always stand out as really beautifully done ... any tips?

I plan to finish off the bag today. The main part is done, I just need to attach the decoration and strap.
