mmmmmmmm. . . . a vintage style swap
ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh . . . . even i could get enthusiastic about that!!!!

rantinghousewife · 29/02/2008 15:21

Oh vintage swap, yes please.
Jg, am utterly fascinated by the idea of orange action man trousers, they sound fab.

Dingle · 29/02/2008 16:40

Nbg, sorry, just FLYING VISIT- DID THE CARDS ETC ARRIVED SAFELY? (opps sorry for shouting!!)

Gingermonkey · 29/02/2008 19:18

Nbg . You should take some pics of the damage and email them to see whether it could be fixed (most things can be).

Meri - I'm also loving the vintage swap!!!

And today the postman brought me.....my parcel from rantinghousewife - whoooooo!!!! I love it! I got a fab cupcake pin cushion (that rh's dh said looked like a breast - I wish I had them like that!!! ), and a gorgeous crochet bag that is already hung in my wardrobe with some lavender sachets in to make my clothes smell like old ladies (my fave smell is old lady smell). Though I think the bag might have to be used more often and out in public, so I'm going to put the things that float about in my handbag in it and then I can find them easily. Hoorah!!! It's fab - I love it. Hopefully yours will arrive tomorrow, or monday (I posted it today)

LK re; "do you think we should add the mn crafters blog to the uk craft blog list?, i've noticed some of you have the union jack icon on your blogs!"

I would go for it as you get traffic in to the blog from other crafters on the Crafdty Blog list....I try to check out some of the other sites to join in with challenges etc when I get the chance.

Vintage seems good, but I must try to get up to date with a few things before commiting myself to anything...I MUST get some NVQ work done!

rantinghousewife · 29/02/2008 20:24

Oh glad you got it, GM. Couldn't look at it any longer without thinking, it's a breast!. Damn dh

Tillyboo · 29/02/2008 21:04

Have I missed anymore Easter Swap Posts ?

I've lost some the list of my blogs other than those on my blog .... Doh !

Can someone link me to the thread with the blog lists on it please, please

rantinghousewife · 29/02/2008 21:35

Will have to work out how to get my post onto the group blog but, in the meantime here is my swap for GM.

Tillyboo · 29/02/2008 22:05

I'm back!

Didja miss me? Didja?

You didn't even notice I was gone did you?

Actually I haven't been gone as such (well, maybe a little in the head) but I've been kind of busy with a swap box for a lady on ravelry. It's all done now though & was mailed off today (£13 it cost to post! dh doesn't know yet) so I can now concentrate on finishing poor, neglected Dior's swap gift.

Gingermonkey · 01/03/2008 09:04

ah, GW - you're back (I missed you!)

Right, I blogged my exciting trip. Yesterday I did the washing, some ironing, read a magazine I'd nicked off of my friend - still no crafting.

Next week my mission is to;

:: make the lucylocket swap bunny

:: add a few bits to the shop that I've been finishing off

:: have my birthday and get spoiled rotten all day

have sold 3 items.. a bracelet, earrings and painting... very but they are to a friend in the states that I havent' seen for 7 or 8 years .... a sale still so I'm happy.. it mean more beads to buy and I must sent her a few little extras so need to sharpen the old knitting needles.

oh.. and I will try to do a write up for the vintage swap... its no rush but I want to get the preliminary bit done with going to the states next month... i like to be organized.

dizzyday07 · 01/03/2008 11:14

I don't mind doing another swap but can the next one not be posted until the deadline for the Easter swap has passed (11th March) as some of us (well me!!) are still struggling to get it completed

Nbg · 01/03/2008 11:34

I'm not reading your post on your blog GM.

I suppose I could email LV. I wonder if they would repair it......

Greebo I was thinking the other day that I hadnt notice you post but I thought that you may have drowned under the TP thing you were doing

Nbg · 01/03/2008 12:23

I've made a couple of things today & added them to my blog

I'm still not having much luck trying to clear my cardmaking stash - so please shout up if you can take anything off my hands !!

lucykate · 01/03/2008 18:53

no crafting today but did manage a trip out to charity shop in uppingham, got some lace, stash of buttons, 3 books full of soft toy making patterns, a wool skirt (is boden, but a size 10, will be a miracle if i can get into it, if not, fabric will get chopped up to make something else out of), pink jumper for felting, plus a duck egg blue coloured waterproof mac with hood (this is for wearing, not cutting up!!)

plus visited a place called uppingham yarns, tis an excellent wool shop, got some reels of embroidery thread and more buttons.

quite a good lot of goodies

rantinghousewife · 01/03/2008 20:06

Oh, I've ordered stuff from Uppingham yarns before, they were very quick, was quite impressed.
I could spend all day waxing lyrical about charity shops. The woman in one of our local ones sees me coming and sighs, then she gets out the patterns and the needles.
I even found a virtually untouched pair of Susan Bates aluminium knitting needles the other week. Was very pleased with myself.

suzi2 · 02/03/2008 09:47

greeboswhiskers - I've left you a post on nappies if you could take a look?

Hi all - I'm still oing jewellery but never have time to do photos or anythng!

Dior - I think as long as crafting makes you happy, you can make nice presents for people and gives you that nice fuzzy feeling inside, that's all that matters. I don't think I'd cope if I became really busy, I don't handle pressure well!

Well, it's Mother's Day - I hope you are all getting spoiled rotten!!! I got some fab things - DD went shopping on etsy for me.
