Dd would have liked to go to college- she's so sick of school and school rules, but the local college didn't offer the subject combination she wanted.

I am wondering about making myself a light blanket with the bouclé, maybe in an old shale stitch. So you think it would look good?

I always wish I could just go and look at Drops yarns. There's nowhere near me. As most of the shops that stock it are small, I always feel bad about ordering to choose.

Hmm looking at Ravelry maybe not.

Did find this though which I think is gorgeous. It's a pity there's no pattern.

I’m not sure if you’d see the lace stitch in bouclé unless it was quite a loose tension and it would be a bit of a pain to fix mistakes but I’ve never worked with it so I’m guessing! Then again I wouldn’t have thought it would work in fairisle so I’m not a good judge!

Oh wow, that’s lovely!

I just had to google old shale, Meryl - I'd never heard of it! It looks really nice. I really like Drops yarn and don't remember seeing it in yarn shops. There was a whole big stall of it at Yarndale, which was packed with customers!

We are nearing the end of the thread, so I'd better start a new one, unless anyone else has a burning desire to (and a good idea for the next title!).

Has anyone got some spare John Lewis knitting yarn 100% merino wool. Chunky machine washable type.
Shade: Blue 1004, Lot B.
Bar code: 5054639693930.
No longer stocked in JL shops or website. I only require 1 or 2 50g balls to complete a chunky sweater.
Would be most grateful.
