I hope it's ok to post this but one of our wee cats has died abut half an hour ago. I made a blanket and bed for her, I think I posted pictures up. I've cried a while toilet roll today 😂. Plus I've accidentally bought more wool. Really need to stop stress buying. Determined to finish this boring scarf shawl for mum then it's my master mosaic blanket

My 3rd WIP, which is the cowl I am making for my sister. I didn't use the pattern that you are doing @lazylinguist, as I don't have the right wool, but I ordering some, as I really like that one too. But this will be easy to wash after she spends time taking care of the horses.

I also have some multicolored striped socks and a zigzag scarf on the go. It is nice to be able to switch between them right now.

So impressed by everyone's work. It's nice to see things others are doing to get ideas!

I've attached a Photo of my blanket colours I have coming (and if you sneak on past that there's two pics of Ziva just for the kitty lovers).. Darn it, no matter what way I add the photos it seems to put the cat first.

I can't sleep because I've got a flipping headache. I would make the most of being awake and crochet but I can't be bothered. I think I'll go and make a cup of tea

@myshit she was gorgeous. I am sure she had a wonderful life with you. Its not a detail at least to me anyway. When we lose our pets/family it touches all parts of our life.

@plink thank you, I am trying my first pattern at the moment and keep worry the pushed off loop is too big at the start and end.

So sorry to hear about your beautiful cat, Myshitisreal. No need apologise for posting about her - this is a knit, crochet and natter thread after all. Life stuff definitely allowed.

Aww @Myshitisreal she looks so pretty.

I absolutely sobbed my heart out with our family dog and cat when they passed. We had our dog cremated and there was lovely pet cemetery where you could hang a lead or collar on the memorial tree.

I still think of my dog often and it still breaks my heart he's not here. So sending you lots of hugs 🤗

I'm a big fan of crocheting but I haven't done any for a while as we have a puppy that thinks balls of wool are for him to play with Does anybody have a cardigan pattern for a baby please?

Hi snackz I also have a puppy who thinks balls of yarn are the best toys ever. NightPup has a particular fondness for one ball which now has to live on the book shelf because NightPup keeps running off with it. The end of the ball has got a little crusty... 🤢 We’ve got an older dog and I keep telling her to play with her brother so I can crochet in peace. Is your pup a chewer? If so, give them a chew and pull your crochet out. NightPup is learning if my yarn comes out then he gets his bone or something smaller but more smelly (and therefore more delicious).

Fortunately neither my dog nor my cat seem remotely interested in my yarn. The cat does often want to sit on my lap when I'm knitting or crocheting though. He leaves the yarn alone, but parks himself with his bum pointing towards me and his tail in my face.

This is why turtles make the best pets. I don't think they even know I exist. Let alone try and get Involved in my crochet
They aren't very cuddly though

I've just been asked how much I want for three crewmates...I'm not sure I have the cba to make more of them! I'm still putting off dd1's last one, although I think that'll be tomorrow's job maybe.
