Anyone fancy a card challenge?

I am in chaos here with the extension going on . I have moved my stash to it's new home but it is in complete turmoil!!!!
I have been trying to keep afloat in the school hols but my crafting has taken a nose dive.
I am attempt to "be prepared" does anyone fancy joining me in a weekly challenge for Xmas cards and maybe even a few pressies?

d, what software package do you use?

i haven't got anything atm as i kind of wanted to move away from cross stitch, and i work on a mac at home, i'm not sure if there actually are any cross stitch programs that are mac compatible

Dior - CRIKEY!!!! That cross stitch of your Grandmother is AMAZING!!!! Wow, you are so talented (and I love the peacock too, I love peacocks. Was trying to get some peacock fabric today in Libertys...to no avail )

Me too. Birthday, had a cold, and now my little bruv (well, he's 37 and a police sergeant) has come up from Cornwall.

I will do my best to make something this week.

I have made the Santa and the wreath into two cards. I really like them, and am trying to work out who deserves a lovingly cross-stitched card (and who won't just throw it away in January!) I have taken photos and will try to get them on my profile.

I have finished & returned the necklace I repaired / restyled for a friend of my mums. I've also had a go at beading round a cabachon (flat bead) - it caused me much unpicking & cursing, but so far it seems to be staying in place. I will post a pic tomorrow & then decide on what's next.

I seem very good at the moment at half starting something & then un-doing it all - I seem to have lost a bit of inspiration at the mo..I need a target to get me back on track

I get half way through a wreath and get sick of all the little bits of one colour. I really have to force myself to continue. The santa and snowman pictures only take an evening and are really cute. I have to say the wreath was worth the effort though - I am just a lazy cow!

Oh Lord, what was that all about ?

I got into a heated thread a while back and I'll never do that again! I posted an innocent comment and a couple of people (I won't give names) decided to play devils advocate and turn the whole thing into something pretty horrible indeed.

I tried my hardest to justify my comment (and it really was as simple as'I would imagine she'd be very pretty', but these two not very nice people were just really, really horrible. I couldn't believe it, it really upset me. It was like they were doing it for fun. Just reminded me of school bullies to be honest.

I did a bit of scouting about & it seemed that they both enjoyed playing this sort of game and had been very controversial on several other threads - so I left well alone.

Much safer in the A&C

Anyway, My cold is still hanging about and my head feels like it's about to explode. DD is at pre-school til 3.30 and I'm trying to muster the energy and motivation to get my arse into the workroom.

I'm failing miserably, might just have 40 winks on the sofa instead after a mug of lemsip.
