Hi all,
For a few weeks I've been knitting a blanket for my DP and I'd love to see what other people are knitting/crocheting at the moment!

Here's the latest picture of my blanket Smile

I've been making flowers to put on the poncho. WeDos are better though.

I've finished my smaller version of the cupcake blanket and crocheted a little jacket to send too. I just need to sew the buttons on - my least favourite job.

I'm now knitting a baby cardigan for a colleague then it's back to crochet for a harlequin stitch baby blanket.

Have just made this dog for my friend's son - he is turning two. Just need to add the tail now. It was from a magazine in the spring. Knitting the pieces together has literally taken nearly the whole day, very fiddly, and not sure if I have done it right!

CharCharGabor · 11/06/2016 21:03

It looks good to me! I'm on stripe 28 of 60 in my granny stripe blanket. It's soooo boring!

Thanks charchar I just added the tail and it looks pretty good now, took aaaages though! Can I have a peak of your granny stripe blanket? Which colours?

Arcadia · 11/06/2016 21:37

Have realised front legs are back to front but don't think the 2 yo will care!

Dutchoma · 11/06/2016 22:06

Of course a two year old won't care Arcadia. Don't be surprised if he calls it a camel though. Not because it looks like a camel, but because a two year old is still finding out the names of the animals. We have a little teddy in our house which gets called Mouse.
I'm still doing socks. Fifth pair in the making, after that one more pair to do.

CharCharGabor · 12/06/2016 21:11

I bought the original attic24 pack over a year ago but got bored and gave up Blush It's still tedious but am watching Netflix while crocheting which passes the time a bit.

The colours are a bit vibrant compared to what I normally make but it will be nice to snuggle with on a grey winter's day Smile halfway through now.

The colours are lovely charchar. Does the changing colour but make it more interesting? And are you following a pattern for order of colours or doing it yourself?

FuckingFattyBitch · 12/06/2016 23:33

Not the best picture. But here's my finished poncho for my 2 year old.

Cute poncho :)

I made this wrap. I'm not entirely happy with it (for me) so I'll probably end up sending it to the next Woolly Hugs sale.

I'm another one doing an Attic 24 blanket... Her 'cottage' ripple blanket. Loving the colours, she's got such a good eye.

I'm following a pattern Arcadia, am terrible at deciding where colours go when there's more than a few! Soupdragon I love the wrap!

Nice ripple Ida! I'm hoping to make one of her granny squares ones next, less laborious than a straight across one!m. Aiming for three blankets by winter so the dc can't fight over them Grin

NatashaRomanov · 13/06/2016 16:11

You've all been making such beautiful things!

I had a week of making amigurumi creatures, and I still owe my daughter a turtle (that looks more like a tortoise!), and I finally finished the 15th square for my blanket. Only, I had left it alone so long, I couldn't match the tension and it has a distinct odd row in it! Never mind Smile

Currently doing a little dog from 'Jean Greenhowe's MacScarecrow Clan' book.
I will attempt a Scottish Scarecrow for my daughter one day, but I don't have the yarn (or the budget!) at the minute!

Can anyone link some really good youtube videos for teaching crochet?
All the best amigurumi patterns seem to be crochet, and crochet seems to go faster than knitting. I've just never been able to pick it up.

MayhemandMadness · 13/06/2016 16:16

My latest attempt, made from garden twine!

FuckingFattyBitch · 13/06/2016 17:04

Mayhem I love that.
And the wrap is beautiful soupdragon
I.hope I can eventually be as good as you lot on here.

FinnegansCake · 13/06/2016 17:09

I love that bag Mayhem! I've never used twine - was it hard on your fingers?

MayhemandMadness · 13/06/2016 17:15

Not as hard as I was expecting, it worked up really quickly as well, only took 3 nights to do and I'm far from being any expert. Wasn't hard on my fingers either but I think next time I might try a different ply of twine.

There are some nice free patterns on the Lion Brand Yarn site, I made the Classic Coverlet which was pretty and easy Dixie and looks great in one colour.

JoffreyBaratheon · 15/06/2016 10:58

Finally finished the traditional pattern I reversed engineered from a 19thC photo, that's going to be coming to a magazine near you soon. So now for fun, escapist knitting for myself!

I bought a few balls of cotton last year then never used them. Am now trying to get through them with 'Bad Penny' from 'Knitty':

knitty.com/ISSUEspring04/PATTbadpenny.html

It's fun and easy and one of the first top down things I've knitted, so even though it's very simple it's still an adventure...

Yarn I have is:

And I'm making a matching bag.
And doing a mandala.
Sorry for bombarding you all with photos, but no one is particularly interested in real life. Sad
