Hi all,
For a few weeks I've been knitting a blanket for my DP and I'd love to see what other people are knitting/crocheting at the moment!

Here's the latest picture of my blanket Smile

Thank you Dutch that means a lotBlush

I agree with Dutchoma as I usually do that is lovely Toblerone. Your work has nice, even stitches - getting your tension right is half the battle.

I'll post a picture of my finished Primavera blanket later when my iPad has charged.

Dutchoma · 05/05/2016 20:40

Thick as thieves, we are, eh Woolly.

TheWoollybacksWife · 06/05/2016 22:33

This is a corner of my finished blanket. It is single bed sized. I'm not sure white was a good choice for a blanket to take to uni, but the colours were so pretty together.

I'm just about to finish a baby blanket. For some reason I decided it would be a good idea to line it with cotton fabric. It is proving to be a bit of a challenge.

WeDoNotSow · 25/05/2016 17:12

My first ever crochet project!
I taught myself watching YouTube videos, I love it, it's so relaxing!!

Oh that's lovely WeDoNotSow Smile

Really neat and even stitches. What are you making for your first project? Something that you will keep I hope.

WeDoNotSow · 26/05/2016 10:30

Thanks Woolly
It's a scarf! (I'm not brave enough to try anything harder yet!)
I might attempt to do a baby blanket next for my sister, will have a mooch on YouTube and see what I like the look of (and what doesn't look to difficult!)

WeDoNotSow · 26/05/2016 10:31

I'm looking at all these beautiful blankets on here and drooling! (I love a cosy blanket!)

MrsDeathOfRats · 26/05/2016 10:44

Sorry for use of cheesy emoji but this is the only picture I have of Dd's scarf and hat that I just finished making!
I made them on a circular loom. I have some issues with my fingers and found knitting very difficult so someone suggested the looms... I love them!!

So pleased with myself haha.

Sooooo envious of all the beautiful blankets and things you are all making! Wish I could crochet.

Baby blankets are great. I'm making the 'Cupcake Blanket' from the Attic24 blog for my nephew and his wife who are due to have their baby next month. The pattern is really simple - two rows of plain trebles followed by two rows of treble clusters. The interest is provided by the colour changes - I'm doing it from a kit that was bought for me so I have all the "right" colours but I'm making it narrower and shorter. The kit makes a bed sized blanket and I'm making it cot sized so I'll have lots of lovely yarn left over Smile

This was my last project - a christening shawl for a friend's baby.

Nice work MrsD

Your DD has a lovely smile WinkGrin

MrsDeathOfRats · 26/05/2016 10:53

Thanks.... She's a bit yellow but yes the smile is dazzling Grin

I've made hats for all my friends kids aswell!
Now gonna start working on a chunky infinity scarf for myself!!
It's such a great feeling of accomplishment! Rewarding

PlaymobilPirate · 30/05/2016 08:06

Finally finished this - hated the colours so not a happy make 😨 what are you all hooking?

Dutchoma · 30/05/2016 10:53

That is quite an achievement even though I can see what you mean about the colours. It happens like that sometimes. I don't crochet much but am on a run of socks. Currently on the third pair with a few more to come. Not happy about the current project either, I think tey have turned out too big.

FiveHoursSleep · 30/05/2016 10:55

I can't knit or crochet but I needle felt wool. Am I allowed to join in?

Dutchoma · 30/05/2016 10:57

Of course you are, you are more than welcome. Look forward to seeing the pictures. It's something I have never done, but I am booked on a course which is all about wool (not until end of October) and needle felting is one of the things we are going to do.

FuckingFattyBitch · 30/05/2016 11:00

Ooh! Why haven't I seen this thread before.

I'm not very good but I'm knitting a poncho for DD. I'm just putting the tassels on it and then will make some flowers for it. Not the best pics as they were taken while trying to stop my 10 month ild attacking it. will have to get better ones when it's finished

I love that Wooly, I've crocheted several of Attic24's blankets, photo is of the last one that I did for DD.
I love Attic 24's colour choices, and the fact that you can buy the yarn pack!
I'm current crocheting an amigurami teddy bear for dgs2, just got the two legs to do and then stitch it all together.

Dutchoma hopefully you like needle felting. I'm not very crafty and have tried knitting and crochet but I don't have the patience. I like needle felting as it's quite quick to do.
Here are some photos- I mainly do little animals but have done some fairies too.

There's a MN group on Ravelry.

It didn't quite take off, but might be nice to try again (especially if anyone on this thread has not yet discovered RavelryWink).

Loving the pictures on this thread - inspiring! I've got a ridiculous number of WIPs

Handbag, on your gorgeous blanket, did you change direction for each new round of each square? If you spiral out, squares can develop that slightly wonky look - which you may choose to have as a feature.

TheWoollybacksWife · 30/05/2016 11:52

Oh my goodness FiveHours they are amazing. I loved the needle felted angels that were on Pinterest at Christmas.

Thank you P1nk - I like the fact that someone has chosen the colours and made the decision about what order to use them in. I end up agonising about "random" - I even used the random stripe generator on Biscuits and Jam for a previous project and kept hitting refresh as it didn't look random enough! Grin

Dutchoma · 30/05/2016 12:44

Oh wow, fivehours, they are so darling, what a gift!

FiveHoursSleep · 30/05/2016 15:14

I didn't start out with those, they are all quite recent.
I'm hoping to be able to make and sell a few angels, robins, snowmen etc as Christmas decorations this year to go towards more wool! Grin

SoupDragon · 30/05/2016 15:22

I love needle felting - it's so satisfying!
