Sizzix Swop.

Just a thought after Christmas shall we have a sizzix die swop???

This is how it would work.

Basically you cut 50 sizzix die cuts that you have and then send them on to me with an SAE.

I will then sort out all the packs and send you die cuts that you dont have.

You would need to email me a list of dies that you have so you dont get duplicates and also a preference of colours that you would like.

I will send out emails to all that are taking part and give a list of colours, dies etc that people are short of.

This will take ages to sort out so bear with me!!!

Can all those who want to take part sign up by 5th Jan (if we get 10 names before this date then the swop will start earlier)

Emails to confirm the dies you have should be

sent to

jayzmummy at yahoo dot co dot uk

by 5th Jan

If anyone wants to take part in this swop, who does not have a sizzix then they are more than welcome, but they would need to send 10 packs of assorted fibres....each pack containing 4, three meter lengths of funky fibres (buy four assorted balls of wool and cut it into 10x 3 metre lengths, so each of the 10 bags would then contain 12 meteres of fibre)Does that make sense????

This swop would be open to the first 10 that join up. You will all recieve back a parcel which will contain an assortment of 50 die cuts and a pack of funky fibres.

All dies/fibres will need to be cut and posted by 20th Jan for the completion of the swop by 27th Jan.

ALPHABETS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SWOP.

So anyone up for it???

JM - glad parcel arrived - I might need to send more stamps - please let me know. I think I put 1 1st + 1 2nd class stamp in which might not be enough

jenk1 · 13/01/2006 14:13

Going to sort out fibres this weekend, have bought the wool just need to get it measured and sent to you

Dingle · 13/01/2006 17:34

IF I get the chance, would anyone be interested in trying out the rivet frames, square combo frames and/or the sculpting lilac.

I can't make any promises but I am will ing to try to get some cut and off to JM before she posts out.

I can try to do 15 ( is that right/) of each so everyone in the swap has just 1 to try out.
Is anyone interested?

AuntyQuated · 13/01/2006 17:41

i would love to try any of them if you manage to do any...
you are jsut looking for an excuse to play

Dingle · 13/01/2006 17:43

Well let's face it, I will certainly be trying them out. So I may as well try to cut enough of them to include in the swap rather than sit in a little tub waiting for me to use them!

Dingle · 13/01/2006 17:44

AQ, after the week I have had, I don't need an excuse... I can it craft therapy!

JayzMummy · 13/01/2006 18:01

I had some new ones arrive today too...so will cut them and add them to the packages

Dingle · 13/01/2006 18:04

JM- don't you think you have done enough with the organising and sorting out??? PLUS I am sure you had to cut more than anyone else didn't you?

UCM · 13/01/2006 18:08

Posted mine this pm

JayzMummy · 13/01/2006 18:09

awww Im just addicted!!!!!I need to be kept busy or else I will just spend far to much time worrying about life!!!!!
Dh took me out this afternoon and bought me a nice new work top for the other side of my workroom....a gal can never have enough work space can she??????
So the weekend will be spent sorting out and re oragnising my stash...which will be an endless task, bit one I will eally enjoy...saddo that I am!!!!!!

UCM · 13/01/2006 18:20

Dings, wouldn't mind trying the sculpting lilac. But shouldn't we do this in the new swap. I truly believe that

UCM · 13/01/2006 18:21

JM has already had to sort out far too much already

JayzMummy · 13/01/2006 18:43

Please dont worry about it....if anyone wants to send more die cuts then please do.

Dingle · 13/01/2006 19:32

The sculpting lilac is a PITA!!! Has a few areas that doesn't seem to cut cleanly ATM so I am finishing each one by hand with a pair of scissiors. Then you have to cut the smaller flowers 3 or 4 more times for each finished flower. So realistically I will need more time for them. 4/5 cuts in lilac, 1 in green for the leaf and then 1 in brown for the stem...hhhmmm about 6/7 cuts per flower.

Fubbs · 14/01/2006 14:16

Okay, can I double check I've done this right ? I KNOW it's simple in theory but I've a bad case of nappy brain lately !!

I've bagged 15 sets of fibres (of course, the nicest wools that I'd my eye on are completely gone and I've even had to substitute for some but all the bags have 12 metres of four different fibres in them).

JM - I didn't get an email re: where to post the fibres and as I'm in RoI, can I PayPal the cost of the return postage instead?

UCM · 14/01/2006 15:35

Afternoon Girls, JM did you get my gear this morning.

JayzMummy · 14/01/2006 16:07

Fubbs...will email you deails tomorrow....got your mail but havent got chance to reply until later....didnt want you to think I was ignoring you
Anorak and UCM....thanks....they arrived this am
Will update the list later.

DH is rebuilding my workshop....boxes and boxes of stuff everywhere and I am up to my eyes in craft "junk" as he lovingly calls it
Will be worth it in the end but Im sure its gonna take me a couple of days to get myself organised enough to be around.
Dose anyones elses stash seem to be breeding over night????? Mine sure does!!!!!
Catch up later with you all....hope your all have a nice weekend.
JMxxx

JM, sorry I don't think I'll be able to sort out those new dies in time, I have done some cuts but not enough to go around the whole group. I have a few orders that I must get done and then I have the chance of putting a box of cards into the school staff room. I want to try to raise extra funding to send staff on a SALT course specialising in DS!....and my stock box is looking pretty empty!

Sorry ladies!

JayzMummy · 16/01/2006 11:34

No worries Dingle...you sent plenty anyway

JayzMummy · 16/01/2006 19:31

Just Hullabaloo ang Yg to send die cuts now and I can make a start on sorting out all your packs.
