Sizzix Swop.

Just a thought after Christmas shall we have a sizzix die swop???

This is how it would work.

Basically you cut 50 sizzix die cuts that you have and then send them on to me with an SAE.

I will then sort out all the packs and send you die cuts that you dont have.

You would need to email me a list of dies that you have so you dont get duplicates and also a preference of colours that you would like.

I will send out emails to all that are taking part and give a list of colours, dies etc that people are short of.

This will take ages to sort out so bear with me!!!

Can all those who want to take part sign up by 5th Jan (if we get 10 names before this date then the swop will start earlier)

Emails to confirm the dies you have should be

sent to

jayzmummy at yahoo dot co dot uk

by 5th Jan

If anyone wants to take part in this swop, who does not have a sizzix then they are more than welcome, but they would need to send 10 packs of assorted fibres....each pack containing 4, three meter lengths of funky fibres (buy four assorted balls of wool and cut it into 10x 3 metre lengths, so each of the 10 bags would then contain 12 meteres of fibre)Does that make sense????

This swop would be open to the first 10 that join up. You will all recieve back a parcel which will contain an assortment of 50 die cuts and a pack of funky fibres.

All dies/fibres will need to be cut and posted by 20th Jan for the completion of the swop by 27th Jan.

ALPHABETS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SWOP.

So anyone up for it???

Deffo interested in a monthly list Dingle...are you sure about organising it? I know you have a lot on over the next few months.
Your list that you sent me back was by far the easiest way to work out who had what and what you wanted...maybe we could use that system for swopping again???

JayzMummy · 06/01/2006 10:43

Jenk....just go to a wool shop and buy balls of wool...it works out much cheaper. Look for unusual texture and fibres...there are some lovely ones around.

Pecka...If you want to contribute you need to email me.

my mn user name at yahoo dot co dot uk.

I have had a request from someone else too who wanted to join in after I closed the swop.

Extra fibres would be nice

JayzMummy · 06/01/2006 10:44

AQ...thanks...yours arrived safe and sound this morning.

Whizzz · 06/01/2006 10:49

Right whoever wants birthday cakes - I will cut
15 Pink & 15 blue candles - with layered yellow flames.

The cake section has icing, cake & plate
I will cut 30 complete cakes in 'sponge cake colours'! and 30 different coloured icing parts + 30 different plate bits.

Hope thats what people expected !
I knew I left till last for a reason !
If anyone wants anything diferent - shout NOW !

Dingle · 06/01/2006 10:56

JM, like you have said, sometimes you need other things to help you along your way- if that makes any sense.

Yes, I have a lot coming up with Amelia and all the worry of statementing, but I simply can't just live and breathe Amelia....I need something for me too.

The chart you sent out was great- I will adapt that with a few extra details. WE can iron out any teething problems between us all as we go along!

JayzMummy · 06/01/2006 11:04

Dingle...its taken me far to long to realise that J is not my only reason for living!
Having a life for me is just as important!

ChampsOnIce · 06/01/2006 13:53

Dingle · 06/01/2006 14:01

Dingle · 06/01/2006 14:01

Well, I can't help much. Can only do the combo tags!

pootlepod · 06/01/2006 14:06

I only have combo tags as well.

If beanie buddy sends my sizzix converter fairly soon I am happy to cut some quickutz boots and shoes as extras if that helps.

AuntyQuated · 06/01/2006 14:21

i don't have any of those dies so can't help you out Champs but i did ask for library card packets, so Jayzmummy - just forget those, don't substitute.

sorry i can't be of any more help.

Pixiefish · 06/01/2006 14:42

I've got the doll dress and am happy to cut 10 in pastel colours for the list Champs. I don't have any of the others though.

Can someone let me know to carry on or not

Whizzz · 06/01/2006 14:51

No I haven't got any of those Champs , so can'thelp

I have just ordered large Doll + girl hair + boy hair + boy overalls so they can be deducted from my wish list if that helps.

Mine all cut (never want to see that cake again !!) - just need to parcel up & post

Dingle · 06/01/2006 14:56

I'll do the scallop tag combo from Champs list.

I'll also throw in a few quickutz and extra cuts that can make up for any shortages.

HTHs.

hullabaloo · 06/01/2006 15:02

You lot are pretty fast movers! I have just started on my list but since I am not back at work till Monday, it should keep me out of trouble and away from the shops. ( Although my local craft shop has just emailed to say they have the Big Shot for £75 -even when I don't leave the house, Im still tempted to spend!!!) I also have the doll dress and am willing to cut out an extra set if need be.

JayzMummy · 06/01/2006 16:43

You are all stars.
A huge thanks to those who have offered to cut extras and to those who are all ready cutting...Ive got mine on the "to do" list for the weekend.

UCM · 06/01/2006 16:57

Can I ask a question of anybody really. If the die has cuts in it ie the flower & stalk. The cuts are like where you rip your cheques off your cheque book. Does that count as diff colours? Not sure.

ChampsOnIce · 06/01/2006 17:16

thank you so much guys.

AQ - if it is ok with you, I'll cut the library pockets and send them at my own pace that way you dont miss out on them, they're nice to have but are thinner than i expected so it will be helpful for you to have a propper look. just let me know the colours you needed.

and for the person who wanted the album covers and inserts too.

So sorry again.

ucm - not ignoring your question, just dont understand what you mean. Organising a baby shower for tonight and mind's all over the place

kiwibella · 06/01/2006 17:21

I don't know how you have managed to get your head around all this information to organise the swop, JM!! You girls are all legends with all the cutting you are doing. I am really looking forward to receiving my package.

ChampsOnIce · 06/01/2006 17:22

guys sounds so american

ChampsOnIce · 06/01/2006 17:28

nothing wrong in sounding american i hasten to add..... will now quit while i'm ahead

kiwibella · 06/01/2006 17:33

guys maybe american... but since living here I have noticed we say it a lot too. Or 'yous fellas'!

Dingle · 06/01/2006 17:39

I tend to say....you laaaadies!!! can't think of the comedy sketch ...perhaps Black Adder or the "ooo...suits you sir!"

Pixiefish · 06/01/2006 17:45

Right- have done 10 doll dresses in pastel and have put it in the package ready to post tomorrow.

Luckily i hadn't been to the Poest Office today

JayzMummy · 06/01/2006 17:51
