Pinterest?

Anyone else using Pinterest yet?

(I have invites if anyone wants one)

what does it do?

A lot of my friends do - I'm trying to avoid it otherwise I know it'll be another website I spend far too long on LOL

I've tried 3 times at least to get on but not had any acknowledgement or anything. How did you manage it?!!

I've got an account but it is ADDICTIVE. You just have to wait for yr application to process, there's no criteria I know of

I applied already some time back, but also have heard nothing back, there was no space in the application for any bio etc - just an email address, so like you say doesn't look theres any criteria -

I recently posted asking about good easy to use blog sites, as having spotted this one & got no response i've given up & thought asking here about others was a better idea

curious though - how long did your application take stitchthis ??

Oh - I love it... and yes, it eats up time!

I only joined recently- sent a request, and got email later that evening.

I use it to log decor ideas for my next home, for crafts, for christmas etc.

About a fortnight or so I think...

Spurred on by this thread I thought I would give registering one more go but this time I used my business account email address instead of my Hotmail account. I got a reply within the day and I am now registered. (Yay!)

I don't know if it is coincidence or not but it does seem very strange. I reckon I tried 3 or 4 times with my Hotmail account and got nowhere.

MMmmm interesting Neicie - I also gave it another go & DIDN"T get in, but I used our normal IP e-mail, not a hotmail 1 etc -

Wondering now if they are a bit odd & filter by name & don't like the sound of our usual joint email - going to try again with my business account & see what happens -

I am on pinterest and love it - but it does mean I spend even longer on the internet...

took about 10 minutes for them to accept me with my business e-mail - which is a yahoo one

My other e-mail obviously wasn't good enough for them it starts with rockin does that make me sound like a trouble maker or something

They could have been very snobby - I wonder if there is a person somewhere weighing up how interesting your email address looks and deciding whether you are a good bet. Perhaps my Hotmail account didn't sound creative enough!! It is just bits of my real name and somewhat dull. Or perhaps I have just found a new thing to be insecure about!!!

I know some places are sniffy about Hotmail but on the other hand if CaptainNancy got picked maybe I am doing them a disservice. Maybe they just happen to be signing people up this week and we got lucky.

Is horridly addictive, I really don't need to add to the list of craft things I wasnt todo; pinterest is adding to my list at an alarming rate!!

you might be right, I tried earlier this week too though - yesterday or the day before

& our joint e-mail probably sounds more creative/interesting than the one I did end up using - which is a version my full name & probably sounds a bit more "upmarket"

maybe they are wading through them & I'll get an invite to my preferred e-mail later

& if not they ARE snobs

Lots of interesting things to see but otherwise it is a pure waste of time unless you need it for your PhD research :)
