Title says it all really.
Tell me about the lovely things you have been making, any craft. Pictures/Ravelry links would be great.
I like to crochet but I've found myself in a bit of a rut and want to be inspired and find some motivation to make something, even if its a totally different craft.

Oooh, I love this thread. I have been making lots of toys for dd and necklaces and bracelets and filling my sketchbooks with ideas of things to make when I have more time.

And I've also been trying out lots of new vegan recipes, tonight we made vegan pizza and it was yum.

SoupDragon · 13/08/2011 08:52

I have just crocheted a poo for DS2!

DillyTante · 13/08/2011 09:12

Any particular reason soupy? Grin

SoupDragon · 13/08/2011 09:27

He asked me to. Although he was, apparently, joking. Smile

DillyTante · 13/08/2011 10:05

Now did you use a pattern or just free style it?

SoupDragon · 13/08/2011 10:27

Rather bizarrely... A pattern! there were many to choose from :o

SoupDragon · 13/08/2011 10:33

Mr Poo

I'm not sure just how low my crafting level can fall after this!

Bumperlicious · 13/08/2011 20:59

That is a very cute poo Grin

stitchthis · 14/08/2011 07:54

Omg I love it! Where's the pattern?!?!

stitchthis · 14/08/2011 08:01

It's sitting on a loo isn't it?!?

GrinGrinGrin.

SoupDragon · 14/08/2011 09:59

yes, it is sitting on a toilet. :o

the pattern was from here

overmydeadbody · 14/08/2011 12:25

Nice poo soupy.

overmydeadbody · 14/08/2011 12:29

Love your quilt Sybil. I am venturing into quiltmaking, and attempting to make my first ever quilt. So far I have cut out 500 squares out of a total of 725 that I will need to make the quilt. Am I mad that my first attempt is for a double bed?

Yesterday I made myself a tunic top, but to be honest I'm not sure I like the fabric, what do others think? It is a bit washed out and like 80s bed sheets isn't it? I hate it when that happens, when you think you've chosen a lovely fabric and it just doesn't work Sad

SoupDragon · 14/08/2011 12:46

I like both the fabrics.... But I don't like them together. To be fair, I don't like it when Boden do it either so you're in good company :o

Doesn't remind me of bedlinen though! I'm impressed.

overmydeadbody · 14/08/2011 13:11

Yeah Soupy, maybe it is the combined effect of both fabrics that troubles me.

So what is your DS going to do with his poo?

Clickncraft · 15/08/2011 00:31

A Maypole themed cake topper is the latest thing I've made, took absolute ages but was really fun to do!

Starting work now on another cake topper for a lady who is turning 40 and loves pink and lots of bling. Polymer clay is brilliant as cake deco as you get to keep the topper as a keepsake/memento once all the yummy stuff's been eaten!

stitchthis · 15/08/2011 21:21

Soup - I've done a poo too!!!!!

stitchthis · 15/08/2011 21:39

Picture here - DH has already ordered one for work Hmm

SoupDragon · 16/08/2011 07:52

"Soup - I've done a poo too!!!!!"

Oh god.... It's ike potty training all over again :o

stitchthis · 16/08/2011 08:05

Sadly I can't find a potty pattern. But I did look.

Thumbwitch · 16/08/2011 08:12

Hmm. Not sure I'm going to be knitting/crocheting poos any time soon - DS has just looked at it and gone "Bleugh, I don't want a poo toy mummy". I have reassured him. Grin

My latest creations are pipecleaner spiders with woolly bobble bodies and heads and googly eyes. We have a family of them, and I even made a fly. I should take a photo and put it on my profile.

I am also in the process of creating a pattern for a dragon - I did look on the internet but couldn't find one that really did it for me, so I'm having a go at making my own. Who knows how that will turn out! especially as I'm using stretchy shiny material...

SoupDragon · 16/08/2011 08:32

I have this dragon on my To Do list. I am just waiting for the right sock!

Thumbwitch · 16/08/2011 08:39

That's a very nice dragon, Soupy!

SewCrafty · 16/08/2011 10:10

I've just finished an embroidered picture for my neighbours great grand daughter.

Now to finish some tea cosies, cushion covers, garden seat pads.........

stealthsquiggle · 16/08/2011 10:24

I had a nice long post all typed on the train and my stupid phone crashed...

I love the dragon - given the plague of odd socks in our household it has to be possible to find the right ones (only of course their long-lost partners will then promptly turn up Hmm).

toomuchpizza - another madebyrae fan here. I have made loads of variations on the licketysplit - including 3/4 size ones for small girls and the dragon one for DS which is on my profile - and one buttercup (again 3/4 sized) - have now been slightly distracted by the bag makers bible - DD got a bonus 3/4 sized bucket bag which was intended for someone else because I messed it up and had to undo and resew a load of it and that shows (not that DD knows that is why she has it - she thinks it is just because she admired it and I am a lovely Mummy Grin).

on my to do list right now are - 2 bucket bags for presents (one done), pencil case for DS (with dragon, to match bag), and 15 aprons for DD's party - anyone got a perfect (and really simple) pattern for a child's apron [hopeful]?
