Welcome to the newest thread of support for those ladies who are pregnant or trying to conceive after terminating for abnormalities. Since this thread first began (almost ten years ago!) there have been stories of heart break, sadness and fear, but from these stories there have also been stories of happiness, success and most importantly, hope.

Congratulations balajake ! And definitely looking promising cork all of my fingers crossed for you!

It's the baby's funeral on Friday, I can't even call it a funeral, I just keep calling it a service. It feel so surreal. This wasn't the plan. And then it's my DSs fourth birthday on Saturday. So the sadness, but then punctuated by a celebration, something to take away from the loss. November will always be full of such mixed feelings now.

Balajake · 25/11/2020 12:36

Thankyou x Praying for a healthy bean this time around. It’s going to be an anxious time and I’m thinking of waiting till after Xmas to inform midwife as I just wanna enjoy being pregnant again.

And I’m so sorry @AlexaPlayWhiteNoise Here I am with my news when you are going through so much sadness. I remember so well the anguish and heartache. Sending all my love and prayers

@CorkViaDublin test looks just like mine

AlexaPlayWhiteNoise · 25/11/2020 12:40

balajake it is genuinely so, so good to hear about the positives and brightness that can come after the storm. It's brings me hope. And I'm thrilled for you x

Mummabear40 · 25/11/2020 13:41

@Balajake congratulations, really happy for you. And all looks promising for you too @CorkViaDublin

@AlexaPlayWhiteNoise I remember the feeling of the funeral so well so wish you all the best. I agree that’s it’s so nice to hear the positive news and it gives me hope.

CorkViaDublin · 25/11/2020 13:53

@AlexaPlayWhiteNoise i hope you get through the next few days ok - mind yourself and go gently - it's bound to be difficult but tinged with moments of hope and joy.

@Balajake i have an appointment this day two weeks at the maternity hospital with my obgyn so i definitely won't be able to sit on it until xmas.

i'm terrified of it being a cp - but i keep telling myself i have no control over it.

they're definitely getting darker. i dont know if i am 11 dpo or 8dpo. my dating is going to be a nightmare because of the miscarriage.

i definitely feel pregnant. my boobs are so sore and the headaches and bloating are epic.

its so hard to just sit and wait for tomorrow. i feel like i want to go into hospital right now and have them make sure everything is ok. i'm being neurotic i suppose.

hopefully the lines get darker

I felt sick yesterday and today. My uterus feels heavy and sore boobs a little. CP has crossed my mind but there’s nothing I can do about that if it happens. I’m taking 5mg folic acid but I had 2 early scans with Millie that showed no issue. It was only at my 13 week scan that showed possible Edwards so unless I feel unwell I’m gonna try and hold out till mid January. Till I’m 8 weeks or so

CorkViaDublin · 25/11/2020 14:08

in mid jan would you not be 10 weeks? @Balajake
i dont have any nausea but that heavy uterus thing is definitely happening. i only take a pregnancy vitamin and one 400 folic acid. i guess i'll see where we are at in 2 weeks - i can't imagine things going well, i better start focusing on the positives

Yeah around 10 weeks but I’m gonna see how I feel day by day. Even at the start with Millie I knew something wasn’t right though because for a few weeks when I wiped down below it was pink blood tinged mucus . Fingers crossed for you hun xx
Redhead43 · 25/11/2020 14:15

@AlexaPlayWhiteNoise I hope this week goes by okay for you. It’s a tough week having the funeral/service but it did give me a little bit of closure xxx

@Balajake I totally understand the anxiety I hope you manage to just enjoy these first few weeks before the scans start xxx

Balajake · 25/11/2020 18:32

Thanks @Redhead43 I’m gonna try and relax till then.

Kiki275 · 26/11/2020 09:21

@Balajake @CorkViaDublin keeping everything crossed for you both, I can appreciate it's a very anxious time for you.x

@AlexaPlayWhiteNoise thinking of you ahead of tomorrow. I hope your loved ones can all be there for you x

Honestly was starting to think there was something wrong with me and they’d damaged something during the TFMR. I was starting to lose hope but I’m praying to the heavens for a healthy baby. 🙏🏻

Kiki275 · 26/11/2020 19:33

@Balajake that's where I'm at now, thinking I've broken something although logically I know I really won't have. Doesn't help I can still clearly 3 of the 4 needle sites from the termination as well as the keyhole surgery scar from the TTTS surgery. Plus there was no explanation of why I had all the bleeds☹️ x

@Balajake this is fabulous to see! You deserve your turn x

CorkViaDublin · 26/11/2020 20:06

@Balajake this looks great!! Looking forward to watching them get darker.

I’m 9dpo today and I think they’re getting lighter. I’ll keep testing each morning until my period is due on Tuesday anyway. I just want it so much I hope it happens

CorkViaDublin · 27/11/2020 08:51

Hey guys @Balajake my test this morning is non existent the line is barely there at all. I think it might have been residual hormones from the miscarriage or something;(
