Welcome to the newest thread of support for those ladies who are pregnant or trying to conceive after terminating for abnormalities. Since this thread first began (almost ten years ago!) there have been stories of heart break, sadness and fear, but from these stories there have also been stories of happiness, success and most importantly, hope.

Ladies is really need some advice. Since my negative digital test last week I have carried on lightly spotting and I just know this isn’t my period so I tested again today and got a chance digital result that says pregnant 2-3? The first one I got last Saturday said pregnant 1-2. I think did a Tesco’s own and got a very clear positive. I am so confused - I thing the negative test last week was because it was late in the day and quite diluted, but I am really worried if I am pregnant why I have been lightly bleeding for 6 days now. It’s like a period but nowhere near as heavy or dark in colour 🙈

Sorry I know nobody can really tell me what’s going on but I thought I was out and now I’m thinking maybe I am but is something wrong.

Will call doctors on Monday and try to get a scan I think. Xxx

Ohhhhh @Bbf25010320 this is a very clear positive! Sounds very positive....lots of women bleed during the first week or so don't they? It's good sign that bleeding isn't as bright or as heavy as a period.
Definitely get yourself seen on Monday. How many dpo are you? keeping everything crossed for you. xx

Mummabear40 · 06/02/2021 19:15

@Bbf25010320 so with my first healthy baby I had a bleed that I considered to be a period and updated my fertility app to say that. I had negative tests. But it wasn’t like a normal period, but heavier than what I’d read was an implantation bleed. Anyway I was pregnant it turned out and went on to have a very healthy baby that’s now 3.
Wishing you all the best as it is possible to have early bleeds like that and be pregnant. xx

Alice40p · 06/02/2021 20:12

Thanks @Bbf25010320 I hope so too. All the best for your visit. I hope what @Mummabear40 said is a bit reassuring for you.

Bbf25010320 · 07/02/2021 10:12

Thanks so much ladies. I am feeling slightly hopeful, but I am on day 7 of bleeding and because my pregnancy with DD I had absolutely non I guess I am thinking the worst. Also still worrying it’s an ectopic. Doctors have told me I can’t have a scan until a week tomorrow so it’s going to be a long week. Xxx

Alice40p · 07/02/2021 22:02

My mum had an ectopic. You get intense pain and a lot of heavy bleeding with it and it is hard to miss. I understand how worrying this must all be for you. I had a miscarriage last spring and am worried about that too. With miscarriage the flow is much heavier than periods but you also have a coffee coloured discharge with it in the end. Since yours has been light bleeding, hopefully it is all ok.

Redhead43 · 08/02/2021 08:41

Congratulations @JennyMY beautiful little bundle. Enjoy every moment xx

Tentative congratulations to the new positives! Xx
@Bbf25010320 sending positive vibes and virtual love your way everything the other ladies have said is right some light bleeding at this stage can be completely normal. I understand your worry tho and I hope the scan comes round quick for some reassurance for you xx

Hope everyone is doing okay xx

Bbf25010320 · 08/02/2021 14:02

@Alice40p thank you, that’s reassuring to know. Still getting a clear positive but I have an early scan tomorrow, I will only be 5+2 so not sure how much they will be able to tell me, but at least will know if it’s in the right place I suppose.

Thank you @Redhead43, I’m praying tomorrow gives me some clarity.

Will post update tomorrow - so so glad it’s an 08:30am appointment!!! Xxx

Mummabear40 · 08/02/2021 14:47

@Bbf25010320 so glad you’ve got a scan booked. They’ll be able to see if it’s in the right place, if the blood is anything to be concerned about and judge if it’s viable. Let us know how you get on won’t you. So glad it’s a nice early appointment too! xx

Bbf25010320 · 08/02/2021 15:30

Thank you so much @Mummabear40 xx

Kiki275 · 08/02/2021 19:51

@Bbf25010320 fantastic news! I imagine they'll be able to see enough to rule out your biggest concerns. Keeping everything crossed for you x

Thank you so much @Alice40p - I’m not to hopeful, I was in the bath at 4am today with terrible cramps and back to red blood :’( just hope today will give me some closure if nothing else. Will update once I have been seen xxx

Dia12 · 09/02/2021 09:50

Good luck @Bbf25010320. Hope you got some good news x

Mummabear40 · 09/02/2021 10:25

Thinking of you @Bbf25010320 x

AlexaPlayWhiteNoise · 09/02/2021 10:35

Hi everyone, I'm sorry I've not been on in a while, I haven't been able to get my head round anything at all.

I've been getting faint positives on pregnancy tests for the last couple of days and am now sky high with anxiety thinking they should be darker. My line progression with my lost baby was slow and now I'm scared shitless its happening again or that I'm going to miscarry anyway.

Bbf25010320 · 09/02/2021 10:53

Sadly it’s ectopic. I’m waiting for surgery xx

Kiki275 · 09/02/2021 11:01

@Bbf25010320 I'm so sorry to hear this. You must be devastated. Always here if you want to offload or vent x

@Bbf25010320 I’m so sorry to hear this. Thinking of you. x

@AlexaPlayWhiteNoise sorry to hear this also, it messes with your mind doesn’t it. Can you go and get scanned?

AlexaPlayWhiteNoise · 09/02/2021 11:39

@Bbf25010320

Sadly it’s ectopic. I’m waiting for surgery xx
I'm so sorry Flowers
AlexaPlayWhiteNoise · 09/02/2021 11:42

I think I'll wait and see what happens for a few days. If they don't darken up or fade then I'll assume chemical. And then just go from there. I'm 13/14 dpo and I can't get any rational perspective, I'm thinking tests should be super dark by now.

Dia12 · 09/02/2021 13:12

I'm so sorry to read this @Bbf25010320. Sending love x

It's frustrating not knowing what's going @AlexaPlayWhiteNoise. Could you have ovulated later than expected? 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Alice40p · 09/02/2021 18:01

@Bbf25010320 I’m so sorry to read this. Sending you hugs!

@AlexaPlayWhiteNoise this is such a tough journey isn’t it? I’m scared too. My tfmr baby had a low hcg and I was thinking like you too that my line is faint. The other ladies here reassured me though.
I’m having a upset stomach at the moment and I am scared that might affect the baby too. After one miscarriage and tfmr, I just want this to go smoothly.

Bbf25010320 · 10/02/2021 05:05

Thanks ladies. Unfortunately the tube had ruptured and resulted in surgery to have it removed during surgery. I think I will be taking a needed break from the trying to conceive journey. The last 4 months have been a lot to take xx

Mummabear40 · 10/02/2021 06:30

@Bbf25010320 so sorry to hear this, what a rough few months you’ve had. Be gentle with yourself. x
