Welcome to the newest thread of support for those ladies who are pregnant or trying to conceive after terminating for abnormalities. Since this thread first began (almost ten years ago!) there have been stories of heart break, sadness and fear, but from these stories there have also been stories of happiness, success and most importantly, hope.

@Alice40p Thanks for checking in. We moved house on Friday so catching up. I'm in my TWW, period is due on Sunday - I'm not feeling very hopeful because my ovulation sticks gave me 3 peaks, had a bad reaction to my COVID jab and then gastroenteritis. I wasn't feeling very romantic after that.

How are you finding TTC again? I've found it tough emotionally. Sorry you're feeling down. The guilt and the grief seems to pop out of nowhere now for me atm. Did your hospital offer any counselling or support?

@fourthtimelycky Sorry you find yourself here and that you've been through the heartbreak twice. Congratulations on your pregnancy - I don't have many tips because I'm two months from my TMFR and muddling through. You're so right of feeling robbed of innocence and excitement, it's understandable after what you've been through.

@Bbf25010320 how are you doing? TTC is such a rollercoaster.

Bbf25010320 · 02/02/2021 21:46

Hi @Holly341 hope the move went well - such a stressful time but hope you are settling in. Sorry you were unwell after the jab - not the first time I have heard that about someone who’s had one! My fingers are crossed for you that AF doesn’t show on Sunday.

The comment @fourthtimelycky made about robbed of innocence is the perfect way to describe pregnancy after a loss. I look back at my pregnancy with my DD and I never had any clue about how devastating pregnancy really can be. I preferred it when I was naive and ignorant :’(

Does anyone know if my ovulation will change this month after a chemical pregnancy? I’m still testing positive although I think it’s got more faint, will do a digital on Saturday to check it’s negative again. I want to try again in Feb but worried now this will mess my cycle up again. Never easy is it xxx

Bbf25010320 · 02/02/2021 21:48

Today’s test - very faint so I hope by the weekend will be negative so I can move on and try again xxx

@kiki275 @Dia12 @NoCallerID and @Holly341 thanks for your kind words. It made me feel better. Today was a hectic day at work, so I was less emotional! @Holly341 I’m not expecting a lot this month as I had UTI trying TTC. Hope AF doesn’t arrive on Sunday for you.
@Bbf25010320 really sorry to hear this. My cycle was back to normal next month after my miscarriage last year. Yes, this is all very frustrating!

Holly341 · 02/02/2021 21:59

@Bbf25010320 Part of me felt really sad because we bought the house thinking we would be bringing a baby home in May. But there’s another part of me that’s so happy to have a change of scenery and something to keep me busy. Hoping new house means new baby.

Thanks for the positivity. I don’t know anything about ovulation after a chemical but I hope things get back to normal quickly and next cycle is lucky for you. You’re right about wanting to be naive again. I miss feeling excited and optimistic about trying.

Holly341 · 02/02/2021 22:10

@Alice40p I’m glad work is keeping you distracted. Fingers crossed for you this month too. I conceived last time after taking a load of antibiotics for a tooth abscess.

Bbf25010320 · 03/02/2021 08:39

I’ve done another test this morning FMU - why do we obsess over poas! When would it be negative? I have been light bleeding since Sunday, today it’s gone back to being mixed with ewcm. It’s definitely not as heavy as a period and hardly goes onto the pad but it is bright red, so I’m a bit confused.... worried about an ectopic! Wish I knew either way so I can move on xxx

@Bbf25010320 have you any pains? If you're worried ring EPU, explain your history and see what they advise. Keeping everything crossed for you x

@Alice40p I'm glad work was a distraction. We're always here if you feel low again x

Wishing everyone positive baby vibes this month xx

Hi ladies - I got a ‘not pregnant’ result on my last cb digital this evening. I am relieved to have an answer in black and white so I can enjoy a large glass of wine tonight and cross my fingers that February will be our month to conceive. At least I know I am ovulating again and we can catch an egg, just need it to stick now. Xxx

Hope everyone is ok? @Alice40p how are you feeling now, hope you are feeling better and listened to everything the other ladies have said :)

Xxx

Alice40p · 04/02/2021 08:05

Thanks @kiki275 and @Bbf25010320!

Hi everyone, I updated on the earlier thread by accident! Our little one is here 😊💙
Arthur Adrian Hughes, 5lb 14oz, and a tiny bundle of cuteness! (37+3)
C section was absolutely fine, had a lovely team in theatre. Only issue was getting the spinal in - took over an hour and 3 positions to get between the knobbles of my spine!!
Covid restrictions mean Daddy has now been sent away for 3 hours til visiting time. 😕
But just so grateful for this little rainbow after a very difficult journey. 💙🥰🌈

JennyMY · 04/02/2021 18:55

And in his little vest! 😍

@JennyMY congratulations!! He is very cute!

Alice40p · 05/02/2021 08:43

Sorry to bother you all, but just wanted your opinion on this test. Does this look positive to you? It seems a bit faint, which worried me. It has only been 4+1 days since my last period.

Dia12 · 05/02/2021 09:06

Oh @Alice40p that's a very strong positive! I had a good feeling about your tww! Congrats and fingers crossed it progresses into a healthy pregnancy for you. 🙏🙏🙏

Alice40p · 05/02/2021 09:42

@Dia12 thanks, the dark line on the top is the control line. The lighter one in the bottom is the test one. Is that worrying? I’m feeling a bit giddy today and have a vague ache everywhere too which is also worrying me.

Dia12 · 05/02/2021 09:48

No, not at all! The test line is still fairly strong considering you're only 4+1. It's a good clear positive. Also the aches, pains and twinges will worry you but it's all normal. I had quite a lot in my in the first few weeks - I'd take it as a good sign too!
I know it's a worrying time, try not to over think things, stay casually hopeful (if that makes sense). 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Kiki275 · 05/02/2021 09:53

@Alice40p that's a good looking line!! Tentative congratulations to you xxx

OP posts:
Alice40p · 05/02/2021 10:15

Thanks. I feel so much more anxious this time around, which I guess is normal. I think I should just take it slowly.

Alice40p · 05/02/2021 10:17

I shall try and follow your advise @Dia12. This is hard and I feel zero excitement even though I wanted nothing more than being pregnant again!

Mummabear40 · 05/02/2021 10:59

@Alice40p that looks like a good strong line to me, tentative congratulations and hoping it progresses for you xx

Alice40p · 05/02/2021 17:40

@Mummabear40 thanks

Bbf25010320 · 06/02/2021 15:43

Aww @Alice40p that looks positive to me. I hope it all goes well - I’m in a similar boat and hope we both get our rainbow babies! It’s so scary being pregnant again and trying to close off the emotions of investing too much too soon! Xxx

Bbf25010320 · 06/02/2021 15:44

Congrats @JennyMY just beautiful! Enjoy that new baby bubble xxxx
