Welcome to the newest thread of support for those ladies who are pregnant or trying to conceive after terminating for abnormalities. Since this thread first began (almost ten years ago!) there have been stories of heart break, sadness and fear, but from these stories there have also been stories of happiness, success and most importantly, hope.

Thanks to everyone for letting me vent and being kind. You’re all so strong and supportive. Just to echo SusanSue - I hope you all have a good New Year. Hopefully 2021 is a happier and more normal year for everyone. I can’t wait to see the back of 2020.

I’m sorry to read all the new ladies who have joined over the last week. You’re all very welcome and the ladies on hear are amazing so I’m sure you’ll get lots of support. I know this thread has kept me going.

@Balajake people who haven’t been through what we have don’t understand and to now have a miscarriage I would be exactly the same as you and what investigating and definitely want to try again.

@Mummabear40 sorry you’re feeling rough. I hope your scans come round quickly for you. It is like waiting an eternity to get to these milestones. Not long for your booking appt now.

@Dia12 glad a private scan has put your mind a rest a little. It is such a worrying time.

I didn’t have an NIPT in the end but starting to wish I had. Although my nhs screening came back ‘low risk’ I don’t feel the numbers were low risk enough. I know I’m mad but I keep thinking I was that ‘1’ last time. I’m 17 weeks today and got a consultant scan on Tuesday I just can’t wait to get that done.

I hope 2021 brings lots of rainbow babies. Thinking of you all and your angels as always xxx

So the baby is definitely gone and the miscarriage is resolving on its own. Just sat in the room of doom waiting for nurse to go through it all. Been sat in this quiet room 20 minutes and suspect they’ve forgotten I’m here

Oh @Balajake I’m so sorry, even when we know deep down it’s still so hard hearing it out loud. I hope you are ok, I have no words but I am thinking of you xxxx

Have to have another internal exam to see if there’s infection as a few areas in my scan suggest there is

@Balajake so sorry to hear this. Hope it's soon identified and cleared up. I can only imagine what you're feeling just now xx

Lovely to hear of your update @Redhead43, it's great news about the biochemicals coming back low risk. I'm not surprised that you still worry. How is second trimester feeling? Have you shared your news with friends/family?

@Holly341 Sorry you find yourself here. I’m new to this thread too and my tfmr was around the same time as yours. My bleeding stopped and I’m waiting for my first period now. Have you had your first period yet?
@Balajake oh dear! As if miscarriage wasn’t enough you have to go through suspected infection as well now. Hope you feel better soon.

Hopefully 2021 will be our year to have our rainbows! What a year this has been !

@Redhead43 yes, it must be difficult to relax. Hopefully after your 17 weeks scan you will be able to enjoy this pregnancy.
Did your tests come low risk last time too? That must have been heart breaking!

@Alice40p I'm sorry you're here too, how are you doing? I think I must be due my period soon, had my usual pre menstrual acne break out and I've eaten my body weight in minstrels which is a sign. My bleeding wasn't too bad at all post TMFR and had a negative test 2 weeks later.

@Balajake I'm sorry you're having such a time of it.

@Redhead43 Congratulations. It's rotten having to carry that anxiety around, you're right that statistics don't mean as much when you've been that 1 in whatever. Tuesday will be here soon and I'm sure everything will be grand.

They’ve put me on co-amoxiclav so I can have a drink tonight. Just glad it’s over and I’m home

@Holly341 I had bleeding for about 2 and half weeks. I too have had my acne outburst, so hopefully it will come soon. I haven’t done a pregnancy test yet. Did you do it with your FMU?

Thanks @Dia12 I feel fine now physically in myself, sickness seems to have all passed and I just feel totally normal except the anxiety and I’m not an anxious person at all normally. Still only told our parents so far - lockdowns and winter clothes make it easy to hide. After the scan we’ll tell our close friends and our work places xxxx

Thank you @Holly341 and @Alice40p i know it’s so early on your journey and these first few weeks are just the worse - don’t feel bad for just crying in the middle of the day. I completely understand that feeling of everyone else seems to be getting in with life and you’re stuck feeling like you’ll never be happy again. I promise it gets easier. Once you’ve had a period which for me was emotional and I cried every time I went to the toilet during that first period I’m sure your body does something to help you start coping xxx

@Alice40p I was high risk last time with my results but the midwives kept saying you might not be that 1 and that first time round I couldn’t imagine it happening to me so I tried to stay really positive. Whereas now I just assume I could be that 1 instead of positive thinking. Once I’ve been scanned more in-depth I’m sure I’ll feel better xxxx

@Alice40p @Holly341@Dia12 AF arrived yesterday for the day and nothing since, seems my body isn’t as ‘back to normal’ as I thought’. I had plenty of Prosecco last night and praying this year will be the one ❤️🤞🏻

@Alice40p I'm good thanks. Just exhausted constantly. Can't decide what is early pregnancy related, thyroid related or this eternal Groundhog Day situation related. I keep thinking about the boys and I'm so worried about telling anyone, as if I'll jinx it if I do x

My husband might divorce me if I show him another pregnancy test but I’m still so confused and now doctors are closed until Monday. I bled yesterday, fresh blood when I wiped followed by some old blood and nothing since. I am still getting VERY faint lines on my tests (bottom two frer) it has to be from my TFMR in Oct hasnt it? Just seems such a long time to still have faint positives :( sorry I know it’s boring but any advice? Xxx
