Welcome to the newest thread of support for those ladies who are pregnant or trying to conceive after terminating for abnormalities. Since this thread first began (almost ten years ago!) there have been stories of heart break, sadness and fear, but from these stories there have also been stories of happiness, success and most importantly, hope.

@AlexaPlayWhiteNoise I'm GM too, genuinely think we've been hit harder than most areas in every way! Were you under the FMU at St Mary's?
As for Xmas don't force yourself to play happy families when you don't want to. They can't do anything to make you feel worse but being alone can make you feel better.

@CorkViaDublin how are you?

@Dia12 wonderful news. Hoping it goes smoothly for you this time. @Balajake it's lovely seeing the positive tests continue.

I was pregnant last year & three years ago, both first trimester, and breastfeeding the Xmas in between. I'm not even sure I can hold my drink much any more, I'm so out of practice. I'm not a stickler for the food rules though, most are for avoiding food poisoning (but you're totally allowed to order a kebab from a dodgy van). I just avoid liver products & swordfish etc.x

Thank you @Mummabear40 and @Kiki275.
Very early days still....keeping everything crossed.
Glad your tests are getting stronger on the standard sticks. They are less sensitive than frers aren't they?
Have you changed or added any supplements?

I still have an extra stone of weight that I didn't manage to lose so I'm hoping I can try to still lose some of that. In a safe way of course, no crash diets.

1stbabs · 30/11/2020 23:31

Hi ladies, I've been away for a while so just catching up with the thread. So happy to hear that @Dia12 and @Balajake have got their bfps. Massive congratulations to you both x

I'm so sorry for the very recent loss of your baby @AlexaPlayWhiteNoise .. and I'm sorry people have been so insensitive. I had similar comments about antidepressants from my boss on multiple occasions. Sending hugs to you x

@Mummabear40 my fingers are crossed for you x

I'm 37+5 and just want the baby here safe and sound. He is due on the 16th, and we lost our little Lola last year on the 15th. These last couple of weeks are going to be tough I think.

MummyBearBoo · 01/12/2020 03:32

Good to hear from you @1stbabs glad everything is going well!

Congratulations @Dia12 xx

Mummabear40 · 01/12/2020 04:41

@Balajake those tests really do look good.

@mrsof20118 thanks, I hope mine is implantation too.

@Dia12 I also have extra weight to still lose 🙈

@1stbabs wow your dates are so close, it will be a lot of mixed emotions the coming weeks I’m sure.

I’m awake with indigestion and insomnia so hopefully these are good signs for implantation 🤞🏻

Mummabear40 · 01/12/2020 06:51

My bbt went sky high again this morning so I took a Frer and it’s positive!!!! I’m now feeling so scared as with my healthy baby it took till I was 6 weeks to get a positive (digital only) whereas with my TFMR baby I had a positive early like now. That was because my HCG was really high as he had T21. I’m so happy but so scared!!

I bloody told you it was implantation 😂🥳
Dia12 · 01/12/2020 07:08

Eeeeeek @Mummabear40 - this is amazing! Congrats and fingers crossed for you.
How many days are you? I really would try not to over think the strength of the positive, so many women post photos similar to yours and have healthy babies.
Your Christmas wish has been answered!!
Have you been having any other symptoms?

Mummabear40 · 01/12/2020 07:19

@Balajake @Dia12 thank you so much! My wish for Christmas has come true. I’m 10DPO today, keeping everything crossed it’s not a CP and it’s a healthy baby xx

Balajake · 01/12/2020 07:26

I’m 16dpo and my tests aren’t that dark. I have a normal frer left which I’m going to do later

I don’t have as much HCG in morning samples as I do in evening samples. It’s weird I get a very faint line after an all night hold but a stronger line after a two hour hold later in the day. I’m so confused as to why

Mummabear40 · 01/12/2020 07:29

@Dia12 I’ve had indigestion for the last couple of days, plus abdominal aches and sore boobs.

Mummabear40 · 01/12/2020 07:35

@Balajake that’s what’s making me nervous, how dark it is. I know there’s no way to know yet and I just need to wait but I’m scared.

Kiki275 · 01/12/2020 07:38

@Mummabear40 this is wonderful news! Loving these BFPs x

Might be twins

😱😱 @Balajake

@Kiki275 @AlexaPlayWhiteNoise @Mummabear40 @Balajake @NoCallerID

Hello to you all!
I’ve forgotten to tag some. I know!!
Got my bfp and af yesterday!
I had my bloods done Friday my hcg was 53. Yesterday it was 41. So strange to be able to get your period, a positive test and hcg of 41 all in one day.
I’m glad in a way because now I’ll be able to date properly etc
My hcg should be zero after af.

We are going to try this month and hopefully get a bfp by New Year’s Eve. The hardest part is not testing early. I hope I’ll have the strength.

So excited for you two Bala and mumma with your bfps. Do let us see them darken xxx

Baby dust to all

Kiki275 · 01/12/2020 08:06

@CorkViaDublin have they suggested why your HCG is still so high?x

OP posts:
CorkViaDublin · 01/12/2020 08:13

Because it was only 26 days since the miscarriage and I had been 14 weeks pregnant @Kiki275

Kiki275 · 01/12/2020 08:30

@CorkViaDublin ahh sorry. I presumed when they gave your negative test a week or so ago it had dropped low. Keeping everything crossed for this cycle for you xx

OP posts:
CorkViaDublin · 01/12/2020 08:33

i did get a negative test - which is why i was so confused. hopefully this period will sort everything

1stbabs · 01/12/2020 09:55

@Mummabear40 another one!!! Congratulations 🥰 xxx

@CorkViaDublin wishing you the best of luck x

Mummabear40 · 01/12/2020 09:59

Dia12 · 01/12/2020 10:09

Oh sending you hugs @Mummabear40 - you're going to just fine and this baby the an equal chance as any of being normal and healthy.
I know I've been a ball of anxiety and worry but stay strong ...

Mummabear40 · 01/12/2020 10:12

@Dia12 thank you. I’ve spoken with my Bereavement midwife and she’s calmed me down a lot

Dia12 · 01/12/2020 10:19

Thank you @1stbabs. I can imagine the mixed feelings, the loss ripples through everything. It's sad to lose that innocent joy of pregnancy.
The app (FF) tells me my EDD is 8 August - the exact day I had my tfmr this year. 😐

Anyway, still so much to celebrate. Hope you're all set for your son's arrival and have everything that you need.
