Hi everyone can I join? Just found it I'm pregnant again after 2 TMFRs. One for downs and a fatal heart condition last July and one in March for Edwards. I've been told it's just really bad luck but I'm terrified this time. I haven't even told DH! We weren't going to try until next month and literally DTD once. I'm swinging between being happy and thinking maybe this little surprise will make it and thinking the worst. I have a DS who is almost 3 so I am very lucky already. I'd just love him to have a sibling more than anything, he's been so lonely during lockdown. It's not great timing as DH job may not exists by the end of the year which is probably why I'm worried about telling him but we did have a long chat about trying and that as I'm 40 later this year we just can't put it off and let's worry about money once we actually have a baby that might get to come home. Looking forward to getting to know you all x

Treaclepie19 · 17/06/2020 09:27

Welcome @Seahawk80, I'm sure I've spoken to you before? Tentative congratulations, we were the same. Just dtd once and told myself that was our last try and we would try and move on. This little one had other ideas thankfully ❤

Wishing you all the best x

Thanks @Treaclepie19 yes I'm sure I've seen your name before. Maybe a TTC after loss thread? Or I was on January 2020 and September 2020 threads - not joining one this time, I'm trying to be positive but not get too "into it" if that makes sense. Still in a bit of shock after finding out if I'm honest. @MummyBearBoo I'm sure we have been on a thread together too?

Seahawk80 · 17/06/2020 09:42

Oh and congratulations @Treaclepie19 - meant to say that!

Thank you 😊 Yes it could be a ttc after loss one. That makes sense. I told myself this time I was going to be as positive as I could because no matter how short my time with baby I wanted to try and enjoy it.
Helped me through a little.

Hi @Seahawk80 welcome and gentle congratulations. I think we might have spoken on a ttc board too, I'm so very sorry to hear you've had another TFMR. Wishing you a long and uneventful pregnancy xx

MummyBearBoo · 17/06/2020 14:28

@Seahawk80 -welcome - Yes I'm sure I recognise your name-I've had 2 TFMRs too my last was July last year too but both due to the same condition where my odd are 1 in 2 each time -hopefully this will help you think positively I'm sure your odds of having a healthy pregnancy were better than mine at 50/50 and I am 23+3 with a baby girl who is unaffected by that condition!
Tentative congrats anyway -we also got pregnant first time after we agreed to TTC #2 again!! 🤞 this one is ok xxx

Seahawk80 · 18/06/2020 07:44

Thanks @MummyBearBoo and @1stbabs - I remember you too. Congratulations to you both! I'm still in a bit of shock but feel happy and less worried than before. I think maybe corona virus taking away all plans and certainty has made me better at going with the flow. My whole year has been like this, I was pregnant in Jan / Feb then had the TMFR, had 2 weeks of "normality" then lockdown!

Hope everyone has a good day. Have the day off with DS today, taking him for his first McDonald's as it's going to be rainy and we need to be out of the house as builders coming so we're going to a national trust place in Kent and it's an easy lunch on the way...he's very excited about his meal in a box!

Kiki275 · 18/06/2020 12:37

Morning all,

after a bit of tooing & froing, it was agreed I could have my smear done at the GP's. Got it completed last week and the results through today. It's all clear so I can begin the TTC journey all over again as of now 😄.

Welcome @Seahawk80 my TMFR was in March a week before lockdown so I complete understand about the normality. Lovely news xx
