@BooMamaBear so so happy all is good! Cute little photo x

Lyrarose · 19/05/2020 16:37

@BooMamaBear this is amazing news! I’m so pleased for you! Hopefully you’re feeling a little more relaxed now and can start to enjoy your wonderful pregnancy. Xx

BooMamaBear · 19/05/2020 17:14

Thanks everyone I am a little more relaxed but I know I'm gonna worry before every scan and until the baby comes out healthy probably! Xx

NoCallerID · 22/05/2020 17:30

You guys... I've just had a faint BFP on a FRER. I've not even had a period yet. It can only have been the sex last week Wednesday and I've been feeling so off today, started with cramping that woke me up, strange dreams and nausea. Thought ok, might be coming on. Then got really tired in the afternoon so took a test. I'm paranoid it means high HCG again that I've got a positive so early... husband and I are both in shock. Thankfully he walked in the house 5 mins after I got the positive so had a good cry....

Lyrarose · 22/05/2020 18:45

@NoCallerID

Ah wow! This is fab news. Really lovely. Have you been trying for long? Sorry I’m new to this thread. Xx

Kath544 · 22/05/2020 19:38

@NoCallerID hopefully congratulations are in order. How are you feeling about it now? X

NoCallerID · 22/05/2020 20:02

@Lyrarose we haven't actually been actively trying... I've done some OPKs to see what my body is doing and think I had a positive last week but didn't expect anything to come from it.

@Kath544 thank you. I think I'm in a bit of a shock... husband is already planning appointments etc but I'm just here like 'yo husband; take it easy...' I'm hopeful but I can't get excited.

Lyrarose · 22/05/2020 21:06

@NoCallerID sending well wishes to you. I can imagine how scary it’s feeling. It’s taken me 2 years to decide to give it a go and I still keep feeling scared thinking about it. Take care. Xx

BooMamaBear · 22/05/2020 22:23

@NoCallerID -did you have a negative test before this positive? If so congratulations definitely a new pregnancy!! Xx

NoCallerID · 22/05/2020 22:30

@BooMamaBear thank you. Yes I did have negative tests.

BooMamaBear · 22/05/2020 22:31

@NoCallerID -ooo so exciting!!! Quick work!! Xx

NoCallerID · 22/05/2020 22:41

@BooMamaBear We've conceived all three pregnancies very very quick. I'd rather it took a couple months with a guarantee that everything goes well...

BooMamaBear · 22/05/2020 22:59

Are you feeling happy about it tho? I know what you mean 2 of our last 3 were accidental but wanted and this time we conceived the first month of trying I thought it'd take longer so i though I'd have longer to prepare myself but so far so good this time! Half way thru on Sunday!!
There is a slight concern regarding blood flow to the baby coz I had embolisation of the uterine artery (in 2018 due to complications from my first TFMR) which is where they put foam in to stop blood flowing to my uterus via the artery til it dissolves then blood flow continues but it may still get blocked and so blood flow to baby can be affected but at my 20w scan (done at 19w) the consultant said it's all fine and is reassuring that we're nearly halfway and blood supply is normal they're going to check it again at 26w which they'd already booked me in a scan for due to my history -the consultant didn't know i'd had embolisation so she couldn't tell (I told her Er about it and it's in my notes)!! Xx

Buzz22 · 23/05/2020 11:25

@NoCallerID congratulations! Sounds like a new pregnancy!
I'm sorry I'm fairly new on this thread so I'm not sure how long post TFMR you are. I fell pregnant 2 months after TFMR with 1 period in between. I worried it was too soon but if it's of any help, mine is currently 20 weeks and going much more smoothly than last pregnancy. I think I've read people are usually more fertile after birth/miscarriage too.

NoCallerID · 23/05/2020 11:52

@BooMamaBear yes I'm definitely happy. But I guess I'm not allowing myself to get excited to protect myself from being disappointed.
I'm so sorry you had to go through all that, as if a TFMR isn't enough... but glad to hear you're being well looked after.

@Buzz22 thank you. TFMR was end of February but has to have pregnancy tissue removed late April. Congratulation on your pregnancy too, it's so reassuring to see other people's positive stories.

BooMamaBear · 23/05/2020 13:01

@NoCallerID - I know what you mean it's difficult - I was the same I had a scan at 7 weeks and at 11 weeks the same time I had CVS and I asked the Dr to put the pictures in an envelope and not to be told my due date. I opened the envelopes and looked at my due date on the report after I got the good results! With 1 in 2 odds of not being able to keep the baby I didn't want to do anything that would make me feel attached and I always found the due date one of the toughest!!
Hope it all works out for you this time! Xx

Kiki275 · 23/05/2020 22:42

Lovely news! @NoCallerID. I know it was a bit sooner than planned but I'm so pleased you were spared a long wait.

I'm not as okay as I thought I was. Last week I rang my GP surgery to arrange a smear as I was advised to do after every antenatal bleed (for 6 weeks postnatal). The practice nurse was lovely but said it was 12 weeks and also that it would be classed as routine, unfortunately all routine smears are cancelled. It was in my notes all I was due to have was a 3 month postnatal review with my consultant, which I knew nothing about.
When I hung up I cried my eyes out. Never did I think I'd cry over a smear. To me it signals the end of a chapter and I can't move on without knowing there's nothing sinister happening.

Anyway, after many phone calls, I had my review and my consultant agreed that it would be good for me to have and arranged it with my GP surgery. I can book at 12 weeks.

My period started yesterday, in three weeks I can have my smear, then another period will start and all things well I can start TTC again.

Sorry for the massive overshare but there aren't many places I can offload this who will understand it x

BooMamaBear · 23/05/2020 23:42

@Kiki275-it must be frustrating but it's good that your periods have started as then your body will be ready for TTC as long as you are!! We here for you to offload what you need to don't worry about that! Xx

Buzz22 · 24/05/2020 07:15

Awwww @Kiki275 it's ok to not feel ok. You have been through a lot, mentally and physically.
Its is frustrating that routine things have changed due to the current circumstances but it's great that it has been arranged for you.
Like I said in a previous post to you, our circumstances were quite similar. It's a really good idea that you are going for smear before TTC. I know it's a worry. I was so stressed out when I found out I was pregnant again 2 days after having my biopsy and having to wait for results again. I wish I had known what was going on before becoming pregnant again.
This is the right place to come and offload. Everyone here understands. Xx

ShootingStar2020 · 24/05/2020 08:01

@BooMamaBear - that is such great news!! Well done you and gorgeous pic!

@Kath544 - I got the Harmony done privately at the Fetal Medicine Centre. It’s not cheap (they offer a package with a viability scan and Nuchal scan for £400) but the care is outstanding. My NHS midwife said it was worth getting if you have had a difficult previous result.

Enjoy the long weekend xxx

BooMamaBear · 24/05/2020 09:23

I'm under Fetal medicine the consultant there does all my scans and deals with most of my care thankful coz I've only seen my mw once and I don't see her again til 28 weeks!
I prefer it coz ante-natal is still pretty busy but I'm usually the only person in the fetal medicine waiting room !

Today it's 20 weeks down 20 to go! Got a little active baby kicking anytime I'm in bed! Xx

Lyrarose · 24/05/2020 10:01

@BooMamaBear I’m just reading your comment and was just wondering, i hope you don’t mind me asking, do you get referred to fetal meds with a second pregnancy if you’ve had a TFMR? This would make me more settled about TTC again if I knew I’d get checks there from early stages as I had great care there when everything happened.

Hope everyone is ok this Sunday morning. Xx
