Wow, you too @Conorgog! ❤️

@JO138 Go and have a brilliant time and drink ALL the wine! I'm sure I read you need to be concerned about drinks / certain foods when the placenta kicks in which wouldn't be for a while yet anyway so you're all good either way 😊🍷

Mangoandbroccoli · 16/10/2019 14:29

(And if you are concerned, just hold a glass of wine in your hand - did this through both pregnancies and no one ever noticed I wasn't drinking it 😂🙈)

Thanks @Mangoandbroccoli I did a test this morning kind of knowing that I would get a negative and have some guilt free wine. I'm super paranoid. I took my little boy for a xray on his foot 2 days before I got a positive test with the last one and when I was dissecting everything in a "why me" I was so upset about not sending my DH in for that bloody xray!

Wine Wink

A glass of wine when waiting for AF is a sure way to make sure it doesn't come in my experience 😂
I was thinking the same about Friday.. you'd think I'd know by now that it's fine.

Gosh, def have a glass of wine, your not out till your out - but your not in either - so be super relaxed and enjoy!

Talking of out. I'm out :(
Af just arrived early. Back to a 23 day cycle this month... which also means an 8 day lp.

Ahhh boo @treaclepie19 so sorry about that.
I don’t have much knowledge around shorter cycles - mine tend to be on the longer side.

Hope your okay x

Thank you ladies. I'm now wondering if maybe I still have a chance......I was so convinced this morning that it was all over until next month!

@Treaclepie19 Urgh that's a drag. Where you irregular before? I have always been able to set a watch to my period and being a bit out of sync is really annoying! I've probably spent £100 on hpt this month because I just don't trust my cycle anymore. Confused

Treaclepie19 · 16/10/2019 15:45

Thank you. I'm used to the short cycles, bit shocked by my luteal phase though... I am temping now though and hopefully it wont be so short next month.

My main issue is that I had heavy bleeding with the baby we lost and obviously was pregnant so I feel like I should have tested.

Treaclepie19 · 16/10/2019 15:46

@JO138 nope! I was fairly regular. It's so annoying not knowing where I stand.

Report
JO138 · 16/10/2019 15:49

Speaking of annoying.....my GP just texted me to tell me I am eligible for a free flu shot under my maternity exemption. FFS!

Hi all, bit behind but just wanted to say I feel for you @JO138, I bet it's so hard being in that position, waiting for the next positive. Good luck tho it sounds like u still have a chance? x

Also on the subject of age gaps I was really hung up on this for a while, my Lo is 3 so would have had a 3 yr 3 month age gap between ours, which I thought would have been perfect but not meant to be. When I look at my own siblings and husband's siblings I don't think she gap matters, I'm very close in age to my brother and sister (18 months and 20 months) but we are sadly not that close. OH has a 7 year age gap with his brother and there really close, I think personalities are the thing that makes siblings close not age. I hope you have a lovely glass of wine tonight x

Thanks @Mini12 How are you? X

Report
Mini12 · 16/10/2019 16:21

@JO138 not bad thank you, I feel better than I expected to be. I had a little bit of a wobble last night when I discussed when to try again with OH, (funny you guys were discussing age gaps) he wants to take it slow and although I'm not wanting to rush, I started to resent the fact we waited to try for dd2 in the first place and had a bit of anger towards OH for this but it's quickly passed, no-one could foresee this happening so just have to keep telling myself that.
Hope you have a good night tonight, god knows you deserve it! x

@Treaclepie19 Nooooooo, ugh I'm so sorry. At least it's quickly on to the next cycle if that has to happen??

@Mini12 Wow, we would have had exactly the same gaps 💔 So glad you're doing as well as can be expected. I'm sure there are plenty of ups and downs to come so please be kind to yourself.

@JO138 Keeping everything crossed for you.

@Conorgog How are you doing?

Mangoandbroccoli · 16/10/2019 16:31

@JO138 That's really poor re the flu jab. Your hospital should have informed your gp 😤

JO138 · 16/10/2019 17:04

@Mini12 I went through a period with my DH wanting to wait before we tried again and I have to say if he had persisted I don't think that I would have coped. We didn't ever "decide " to try again but we just carried on DTD with no contraception Confused

Report
Mini12 · 16/10/2019 17:10

JO138 actually I think that's probably the best way, maybe too much pressure deciding "when" ttc. I want to see how my body is for a few months anyway but then think we should just wait and see x

@Mangoandbroccoli oh ugh. Im sorry

I've had a tiny bit more spotting but really feel like I'm out, just a matter of time. I'm also shattered and a bit hungover Blush. Came out of the city at 11pm and just getting back in for a breakfast meeting. Ugh.

Urgh sorry @Mangoandbroccoli

Glad you had a good night @JO138 - that’s where I live - It’s noisy, but lots of fun!

I’m still bleeding like a heavy period, blegrgh. Hoping the big stuff has passed by tomorrow, really don’t want a d&c 😣

It seems like so many of us are being tested with AF and shittiness now. Why cant things just be easy for a bit after what we've all been through?

My period is so bloody heavy today again. I look white as a ghost.

Lots of love to you all ❤

I'm officially well and truly out. I'm actually headed home because it's so heavy I'm terrified I'm going to have an embarrassing accident. Bleck!

Oh no, I'm so sorry ladies 😔

I'm at least glad I know either way and can crack on with a new cycle. Will be putting much more effort in this month, much to my husband's delight I'm sure 🤣 Roll on the end of the awful period week for all of us! xx

@JO138 I'm feeling the same. I hope you can have a rest this afternoon.

@Mangoandbroccoli I'm planning this month too! Will continue tempting, OPKs and going to do every other day dtd I think.
