New thread here!

@otterbaby Yes I think you could be right. I've already phoned them once because I was worried about it being late and potentially missing the window for the nuchal.
I'm going to have to ring them again and just say my anxiety is through the roof waiting.

You're right about it being because we're leaving the first trimester. It's just a worry isn't it until you've seen baby again.
With all that's going on i just want my scan done and know that I've not had to miss it because I'm ill or something.
Gah!

@Treaclepie19 they're leaving that really late, aren't they? Could they not move your appointment? They had originally booked mine for when I was 13 wks but I asked for it to be moved. I wonder if they try to leave it as late as possible for ladies like us so they have a more accurate measurement...

Same though, I'm still tired and hungry (but I was tired and hungry pre-pregnancy!). My saving grace at the minute is sore breasts but I must look like a maniac, squeezing them every 10 mins for some reassurance haha. Other than that, I just feel normal. I'm sure that's expected as we leave the first trimester though.

Just noticed we need a new thread soon, shall I set one up? I can do it after the school run.

I'm feeling very similar @otterbaby. I hope all goes well for you Flowers

My scan is still 2 and a half weeks away. I'm 11+1 today and its stressing me out having to wait. I'm tempted to ring them but I know they won't do anything.
I'm feeling increasingly less pregnant and everything is just getting to me.

Morning everyone, hope you all have a good week!

Feeling a bit down today...I'm 11 weeks today. It was this day exactly in my last pregnancy that they first noticed something might be wrong with our baby. Even though we didn't say goodbye until 16 weeks, it feels like this is just the start of everything again.

My screening scan is next Tuesday and I'm starting to feel more and more nervous...it's with a senior consultant so I feel reassured but just anxious about what they're going to see.

Good plan @ShootingStar2020 -my scan and test is 2 weeks on Tuesday the stress is really getting to me now I've been trying nor to think about it but I'm absolutely bricking it! Also worried that if I have to have a 3rd TFMR that the virus will affect hospital procedures!! Did anyone see that newspaper article from London where a new born baby got it -they're unsure whether it was infected In utero or during labour xxx

Morning ladies

@BooMamaBear - trying to wait until next Thursday to test. Don’t think it is my month so trying to avoid the multiple early test emotional rollercoaster!!

@NoCallerID - hello and welcome. Sounds like you are having a tough time. So sorry to hear about your TFMR. Like @Mangoandbroccoli has said, the recovery varies. I had a surgical procedure at almost 14 weeks and my period returned about 4.5 weeks later which I was surprised about. My periods have been heavier than before the TFMR but not sure if there is a connection.

We are ttc after 2 months off after the procedure. My husband really struggled with the idea of trying again but then realised he still wanted to. We are on cycle 3/4 and because I am 40 the pressure feels like it is mounting. However, had a check up and all looks fine so just need to relax!! We are here to help xxxx

Have a good weekend ladies xxxx

Welcome @NoCallerID. I'm so sorry for your loss.
You're definitely more than welcome here and fingers crossed for you Flowers

I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and getting nervous from all angles 😩
Still scared stiff that I'll get the virus and not be allowed to my scan.
Worried about whether baby is still ok in there.
Nervous about the nuchal measurement when it finally gets to scan time.
Eesh.

Thanks @Mangoandbroccoli, I really appreciate your kind words and the warm welcome. We used temping as TTA and TTC before and it worked perfectly for us. The toddler doesn't sleep well and I'm up between 1-3 times a night so I'm not sure if it would be reliable enough, I might give it a go. Also decided that it's probably for the best to stop bf now, as much as he'll fight it. My body needs a break before starting over again. Also ordered Agnus Castus which helped me get my cycles more regular before... x

Hi @NoCallerID please don't apologise or feel you're offending anyone here - we're a friendly, supportive bunch who empathise through having all experienced a similar tragedy. So you're very welcome here but, of course, so sorry that you also find yourself in this situation. In terms of periods returning generally, many of the women on this board have experienced them returning quite soon and within 6 weeks, I think. I had prolonged bleeding for 3 months following my tfmr due to retained placenta after the delivery, but a scan did actually show that I was still ovulating within that (amazingly!). I don't know how breastfeeding your 20 month old would affect that, but I would assume that you'd go back to whatever your normal was prior to this loss - clearly you were still ovulating whilst breastfeeding in order to have conceived your second, so I'd assume that would be the case again within a few weeks but am absolutely no expert on this. If you fancy trying it, you could look into temping - this was the only way I knew I was ovulating as I have irregular cycles and never had success with opks. It can't predict when ovulation will happen but does confirm that you have ovulated (due to a temp spike post ovulation) so I found this reassuring to know that my body was 'working' again. I hope that helps in some way x

Hi all, sorry to jump on here - we're actually not TTC yet, TMFR is only two weeks ago... but I've posted on the TTC board and I don't think anyone can help so wondered if anyone on here could. Medical TMFR at 14 weeks, I'm still bf my toddler (20 months). I'm wondering when my period will return, as in will my body recognise I'm not feeding a newborn and therefore ovulate again like before this pregnancy or will it take a few months like after my full term birth?
I hope I'm not offending anyone on here, I guess I'm just trying to find some hope on these dark days and the thought of TTC again soon really does help. Thank you and I hope you all get your rainbow baby very soon! X

I'm not actually sure. Thank you. I'll have a think about it. At this point I feel like I just dont trust anything.
I'm so concerned about getting ill and missing scans but I can't think like that I suppose.

@treaclepie19
This is the one, wasn't sure if your chromosome issue was microdeletions or just deletions.. if it's just deletions then I think this test would pick it up.

Hi Treaclepie19

It's really expensive but Vision do a full NIPT of all chromosomes, it's around £720. Don't know if that would help in your circumstances and avoid the amino...

Hi, @ShootingStar2020 thanks for the congrats!! We got our results back which was good news so wer really happy now that main hurdle has jumped! Feeling relieved!!

The scan isn't until 1st April to check the nuchal. I'm still not sure if we're right to not have an amnio but we're going to stick to the plan.
I think tbh the coronavirus panic around is just getting to me. I struggle with OCD and health anxiety but it's been quite controlled. I guess this has just triggered it.

Sorry to hear you had a reaction to antibiotics. That's never fun 😩 Glad you're on the up now though.

Mangoandbroccoli · 11/03/2020 16:43

@Treaclepie19 Try not to worry - they're different departments for a start so I wouldn't imagine corona would impact antenatal testing / scans. When are you due to find out any results?

I had a reaction to my antibiotics so a bit of a rough start to the week but on the up now 💪🏻

Absolutely everything crossed for you @ShootingStar2020 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Keeping everything crossed for you @ShootingStar2020!

I'm having a bit of a day of it.
Coronavirus panic is getting to me today. I'm worrying that our scans will be delayed or cancelled and I won't get to check the nuchal.
I'm having a little wobble over everything if I'm honest.

Thanks ladies. Am going to try and wait until next Thursday to test. We shall see!!

@Mini12 - I realised that I never said lovely news on your scan. Here’s to getting your NIPt results hurdle ticked off this week. Everything crossed.

@Mangoandbroccoli - weekend sounds lush. Rubbish test results but that can be fixed. Good to know so you can get it sorted.

Lovely week thank you @ShootingStar2020 - I had a long weekend away with my best friend which was fantastic 🥰 Back to earth with a bump this morning though as I had a call to say my urine results were back from booking in and I've got a UTI and group B strep 😳 Bit rubbish but if these end up being the only bad results this time then I'll take that 🤞🏼
