@AlviesMam let's do it!
Oh definitely. I always get it even when I get a positive test x

Treaclepie19 · 22/01/2020 06:15

Well testing didn't happen this morning!
I'm not well and was woken up by a grumpy 4yo so wasn't prepared to test when I went to the bathroom. I'm sure af will just show now anywho.

Conorgog · 22/01/2020 07:06

Oh great start to the day @treaclepie19! I’m parenting solo this week and it’s taking a lot of willpower to not just put the tv on in the morning for my almost 3 yr old.

Will be crossing my fingers for you and @AlviesMam for later!

Good luck today @Mini12 and @JO138 for your scans and tests, probability is that everything will be grand, I’ll be thinking of you!

Treaclepie19 · 22/01/2020 07:22

Thanks @Conorgog! I'll probably leave it until friday now if no af. It'll be too diluted today now and tomorrow I have a crazy busy day.
TV is relied on way too much here I must say. I reckon he's coming down with a cold or something 😔 Solo parenting means as much tv as needed for you!

JO138 · 22/01/2020 07:51

@treaclepie19 I feel your pain! My husband left early this morning and set his alarm thoughtfully loud at 545am which woke up DS who had a total meltdown that he couldn't go with daddy. I was then in bed with a sobbing boy who couldn't get back to sleep. 🤬 And DS does not deal well with lack of sleep so missing an hour in the morning will no doubt mean bedtime meltdown as well!

@Conorgog I'm solo from tomorrow morning and not looking forward to it. I let DS have his weetabix in front of Peppa today whilst reading a condescending article on What To Expect about passing on bad dining habits like eating in front of the TV. 🤣😬 I figure feeding him these days is a win! The only day we were so late he had mini cheddars and little yeo in the car on the way to the childminder! My parenting definitely does not scream "you should have another!" Right now. 😋

Going to head to the hospital very early this morning as it took me 45 minutes to park last time and I was having a fit that I was going to miss my scan! 🤞

AlviesMam · 22/01/2020 07:54

@Treaclepie19 my test was negative but still no sign of period 😤😭 xx

Mangoandbroccoli · 22/01/2020 08:47

Thinking of you today @JO138 and @Mini12! And keeping fingers crossed for @AlviesMam and @Treaclepie19. With my last pregnancy, I tested negative and didn't get a positive until cd 45 after apparently ovulating very unusually late 😱

@ShootingStar2020 Am downing the royal jelly!!

Treaclepie19 · 22/01/2020 09:30

@JO138 I have everything crossed for you this week.

@AlviesMam boo :( Hoping it's just too early to show up for you!

Thanks @Mangoandbroccoli. Wow that must have been a shock!

Mini12 · 22/01/2020 09:40

@JO138 Good luck today!! Funny you should ask about symptoms I was fine up until yesterday afternoon when I felt so tired and kept having to run to bathroom "incase" but never sick just felt like I was about too!!! 🤮😣 Part of me was happy I had some symptoms but my god I felt rough!! Feeling ok this morning.!! Also good idea to treat hubby but definitely treat yourself too!

@AlviesMam still hope for you, I definitely felt I was on my Af before I got a positive!! 🤞

@Treaclepie19 Also fingers crossed, this wait is just the worst!!

@conogog Thanks, my first scan is in 2 weeks so I'm just busying myself as much as possible - my bathrooms have never been so clean!! How are you feeling?

JO138 · 22/01/2020 11:27

@Treaclepie19 and @AlviesMam still fingers crossed! The wait is so hard but you're not out until you're out. 🤞

@Mini12 symptoms hit me pretty hard at 6 weeks. Definitely a lot of rushing to the loo. I am still pretty nauseous in waves and exhausted but the nausea at least seems to be easing now. 🤞

@Mangoandbroccoli how are you feeling? besides full of royal jelly. 😋

The bloods today were pretty standard. Likely results back a week tomorrow. She did make it pretty clear that for this one "high risk" is a near certainty of issues so be prepared. It is definitely going to be a long week. I am bouncing between feeling positive and preparing myself for the worst!

ShootingStar2020 · 22/01/2020 13:33

@JO138 - well done for getting there after a taxing morning. Did they tell you how they will send you the results? Email or phone? Good to know in advance. We are all here to distract you and sending positive vibes. It will all be ok. Hugs xxx

@Treaclepie19 and @AlviesMam - good luck. 😘

JO138 · 22/01/2020 13:58

Thanks @shootingstar2020. They said they would phone me likely a week tomorrow but potentially sooner. I am definitely really nervous. It's so much more definitive than combined. If this is a bad result it's effectively life changing. 😬

Treaclepie19 · 22/01/2020 14:03

Thanks all ❤ I'm on cd25 now. My cycles are still all over the place but I feel like if it doesn't come today that's a good sign. Though I had a 27 day cycle the other month.

@JO138 you're bound to be nervous 💕 Just remember, generally the stats are on our side. We were the small percentages but that doesnt mean it will happen again.

ShootingStar2020 · 22/01/2020 14:29

@JO138 - yes to accuracy which is good but tough. Bit like the Harmony test that I had in October (which I had with my other two children). Totally understand your nervousness but hang in there. Agree with @Treaclepie19 that the stats are in our favour. I saw my accupucture lady yesterday. She has been seeing 20 women or so a week regarding conception/pregnancy issues for 15 years. She has only had a patient like me a few times. Made me sad but positive it will be ok in the future.

Xxx

Mangoandbroccoli · 22/01/2020 14:33

@Treaclepie19 It certainly was the longest 'two week wait' ever!!

@JO138 I'm well thanks - currently around ovulation now so in the super positive phase and dh even managed a little visit to my work location last night while I'm away 😜 I would definitely recommend calling to get your results sooner (assuming they said they'd phone?). With both my NIPT and amnio results last time, I was understandably going mad with the wait and phoned up earlier on the off chance and on both occasions they gave me the results there and then - expect they were just busy but was fuming that someone had them but had left me hanging!

Conorgog · 22/01/2020 14:39

@JO138 I’m sort of horrified that she told you there are ‘a near certainty of issues’ although I guess it’s also good to prepare for the worst - which is exactly what my brain is doing/has done! Fingers crossed - personally I don’t think you have a near certainty. Thinking of you!

The company I did NIPT with first told me a receptionist would first call me with my results then email them, I was like - “No I want someone trained to read results, that knows answers to let me know” - then she said that if there is an issue ‘someone trained’ would call me 😬...

Hopefully I get my results by Friday.

@Mini12 sorry I’m all confused on dates I thought you were today too, brain fuzz.

@Mangoandbroccoli I’m so intrigued by this royal jelly! Gobble gobble, fingers crossed, i’ll eat some more baby Easter eggs and think of you all! 😂.

JO138 · 22/01/2020 15:12

Thanks ladies.

I am going to be on pins and needles until the results. If I think 75% chance it's fine then I slightly relaxed but I'm still feeling pretty high strung about it.

@conorgog fingers crossed for Friday but after a good scan and combined you must be relatively relaxed.

My appetite is starting to kick in in a big way! I'm craving carbs something crazy!! I would kill for chocolate mini eggs right now! 😋

Treaclepie19 · 22/01/2020 18:27

I'm eating chocolate eggs by the bucket load. If I am pregnant I'm concerned about my weight 😱
I don't think I can manage another day not testing. Must prepare the bathroom for the morning!!

Conorgog · 22/01/2020 18:41

Results back! Low risk - for the three.

Phewwww, slightly relived - but then my thoughts crossed immediately to the 20 week scan. Roll on 02 March.

We not outta the woods yet, but at least partway there!

Treaclepie19 · 22/01/2020 19:27

Brilliant news @Conorgog!! One step at a time 🤞

ShootingStar2020 · 22/01/2020 20:17

@Conorgog - that’s wonderful news. Am so pleased for you. Big milestone.
@Mangoandbroccoli - that’s hysterical that hubby went to your work overnighter!! Good work!

Chocolate eggs all round tonight 😂

Mini12 · 22/01/2020 21:27

@Conorgog that's great news!!

@Treaclepie19 everything crossed for you!!

@Mangoandbroccoli that is dedication!!

I'm so craving mini eggs right now!!!!!!!! Yum!

Mangoandbroccoli · 22/01/2020 23:05

Bring on the eggs of all varieties - lovely chocolatey ones for those already pregnant and big plump royal jelly induced ones for the rest of us 😂

Haha, it I don't get pregnant after him travelling all that way for a one nighter AND me putting out after a 14 hour working day then, quite frankly, I give up 🤣🙈

YES @Conorgog!!! Absolutely fantastic news!

Treaclepie19 · 23/01/2020 06:16

😱😱 I am shocked.
I did it to put it out of my head so i could carry on with my day.
This month was a fluke because we kept saying we wouldn't try. My dh was not on board. Then he sort of changed his mind, dtd once and here we are?!

All the worries are coming in quickly. I got absolutely wasted on Friday because I thought there was no chance. Because we weren't trying I'd stopped taking my vitamins for 2 months and only restarted 2 weeks ago. Not the best start eh?
